His cap hit on his current deal is 103 mill for 25/26 (currently carrying approx 50 mill of dead cap). If they guarantee him his money and additional 25 mill for 25/26 add a 3rd year with no guaranteed money, 25+25+ 103= 158 mill. 158/3 is 52-53 mill per year in cap hits.Cheers. Thanks man.
Dead cap always means to me were paying for someone who's no longer with the team.
OK - so they add $50M to the current contract which (to me) means he makes $50M in '25 and $50 M in '26.
Where'd the extra $50M in dead cap for '27 come from?
They could also add 2 void years which would reduce the cap hit in 25/26 to 40 mill but then would leave an 80 mill dead cap in '27
