If Rodgers is so awesome, why did he play in the same number of SBs as Goff in nearly three times as many seasons?

Obviously the supporting cast matters.

Few QB's excel with pressure, especially pressure up the gut, which was the Rams issue. Its one thing to step up in the pocket from outside pressure, it's another getting it right up in your grill like the Rams have had issues with.

Even Brady, with the greatest talent he had played with, struggled when the Giants pressured him consistently between the tackle's with their "NASCAR pass rush" package that Spags implemented in that SB.

Well, yeah... and...

the pressure up the middle wasn't THE Rams issue, it was one of many. Some had everything to do with Goff, others had nothing to do with Goff and others were a mixture.

I guess we'll see with Goff behind a pro bowl center if all his issues go away.

I mean, I want to see Goff succeed in Detroit... not against us, but overall... and I still don't see any of this as a single issue, single personality or single event phenomenon.

You can now...changed the rule a few yrs ago. In fact I think we traded a comp pick in one of our recent deals, (Fowler)... or maybe the first Goff trade.

So it hasn't been made clear yet for sure what pick was traded.

Issue being if we fix the o line and get a deep threat it doesn’t really answer anything. We’ve see Goff go to the super bowl under those circumstances.

if we stand pat and Stafford lights it up sure. But if we go out and fix all the issues we’ve been calling for for 2 years it just raises more questions like why didn’t we try that first with Goff.

McVays decision to trade him should be the only answer you need. Its so ridiculous to me how many people around here want to disagree with McVay like they understand football better than him. Or they can evaluate talent more than him. All because they defended Goff to the death and dont want to deal with reality. Its fucking comical.

Goff is gone people need to get the fuck over it. We're rolling forward with Stafford. Time to get excited about next season. When majority of the NFL and our head coach says stafford is better for our team, that means something.

Not necessarily.
Goff could go to Detroit and light it up. New HC could have successful scheme, Goff could play with a chip on his shoulder. Could be a Tannehill type rebirth.
