Personally, I like Goff and his character (See A Whit’s wife tweet).

I’ll back Stafford when the season begins, which months away. The Super Bowl just ended. So I’m 100% ok with members voicing their frustration about the trade and how the coaching staff/front office operates. You don’t have to be a football expert to voice your opinion.

Go Rams, Go Stafford, Go Sneed, Go McVay & Go Goff (on your next journey)

Hope we face the Lions in a primetime game; would've preferred facing them on the road since it gives us a good shot of a Thanksgiving game but this will be an interesting reunion facing them in Goff's stomping grounds.

McVays decision to trade him should be the only answer you need. Its so ridiculous to me how many people around here want to disagree with McVay like they understand football better than him. Or they can evaluate talent more than him. All because they defended Goff to the death and dont want to deal with reality. Its fucking comical.

Goff is gone people need to get the fuck over it. We're rolling forward with Stafford. Time to get excited about next season. When majority of the NFL and our head coach says stafford is better for our team, that means something.
Lol...you’re so obsessed you see what you want to see

I’m skeptical about how much we gave up but wtf do I know maybe this is fair compensation for eating the guarantees.

I think Stafford is a plus qb in this league and expect him to do well in our offense.

Let’s hope we upgrade Blythe and really enable our new qb.

Let’s go Stafford!!
I’ve seen every pass Goff has thrown. Many of them more than once. He has not completed a no look wrist flick td between three defenders.
For real. I get very emotionally invested in players but my name is njRAMSfan for a reason. This is my team and like you said players come and go.

I don’t wish anyone well once they leave though it’s Fuck Jared Goff now just like it was fuck todd gurley last year lmao!
I think it’s just my way of emotionally separating from the player. I loved todd gurley and part of me was terrified he’d put up 20 tds this year and we’d have lost him.

I had to root against him just like I do Goff because I’d rather our FO be right and me be wrong because their decisions are the ones that get played out on the field mine mean little to nothing.
I don't even care about Goff anymore dude...like I made my points about him throughout the year but he's not my QB anymore so Lets go Stafford!

I'm just laughing he literally claimed to get bullied and chastised for saying Goff wasn't a HOF .....like what
You’re a better man than me. Like I mentioned earlier in this thread the second they leave the rams my coping mechanism dictates I hate them LOL. I hope Todd Gurley and Jared Goff get into a fistfight and both are banned from the NFL
3,700 yds
30 tds
18 int

So again tell me what I need to get over or how I can’t stop defending Goff? I was simply explaining context matters when evaluating something and you automatically tie it into something else it wasnt

clearly you have been paying zero attention to things I’ve been posting and simply associate my name with something and apply your own meanings to my words.

beyond all this debate your post is a joke. So if a coach says or does something no one is allowed to comment on it because he knows more? We might as well shut down the message boards than because spoiler alert...everyone in the fucking NFL player or coach knows more than we do...great revelation dude really ground breaking.

Can’t criticize/ comment on player mistakes/decisions they know more. can’t criticize/comment on coaches they know more. Can’t criticize/comment on gm decisions they know more. Lmao what a joke

Its not just you at all. But many of the people that defended Goff to the death have channeled their recent frustration to McVay's decision. For anyone on this board to seriously question McVays football knowledge and/or talent evaluation is just ridiculous.

I would think by now people would be excited about Stafford.. excited about the Rams future..the future of this offense. But instead, the pro Goff crowd don't want to admit Goff wasn't the answer and want to blame McVay for all the offensive struggles. It's just tiring as hell and people need to move on already.

Issue being if we fix the o line and get a deep threat it doesn’t really answer anything. We’ve see Goff go to the super bowl under those circumstances.

yeah you may be right but we might get an idea if goff requires every thing to be just right or can he carry a team that is short in a few areas. i never really thought of it like you described it but that tells me we might get a better idea of goff worth in how he does in detroit then how stafford does for the rams.

excited about what you have no idea what we will do next season. Until Stafford proves this was a good trade McVay and Stafford are to be questioned.

So you’re a pessimist are you? A optimistic Ram fan would say he is to be trusted until proven wrong, which is what I enjoy being.

So talk to those people about it if you’d like. Ive thrown my support behind Stafford as evidenced in those posts and I’ve literally said Fuck Goff I hope he and tgIII get banned from the league and I’m still being accused of being a Goff homer :ROFLMAO:....what more do you want me to do track down his first born?

you’re clearly not talking about me in any of those complaints (as I proved) so i don’t know why you’re addressing me about your issues with other posters I’m not a mod and I’m not their dad.

no a realist
A realist would say wait and see. A pessimist says someone is to be questioned before the dust settles. You’re saying he’s guilty until proven innocent. I say he’s innocent until proven guilty.

Regardless of who is QB. McVay deserves some blame in this offense and it's inability to get better. I don't find it a coincidence that when defenses made adjusts to how they play McVays offense. The offense started to have some struggles.

Personally I find the notion of McVay being this all perfect individual in all that he does even more ridiculous. You can support McVay and the Rams and stilll call a spade a spade in my opinion.

I quit playing Madden because it kills my thumb (which I almost cut off). But I find myself dying to get back in there and gun that shit all over the field as Stafford.

So pumped for this season it ain't funny. :horns:  :horns:

My thumb started to click when I bent it about a year ago. That 7 hour COD marathon was the last time I touched an Xbox controller. It took two months to heal.

if we stand pat and Stafford lights it up sure. But if we go out and fix all the issues we’ve been calling for for 2 years it just raises more questions like why didn’t we try that first with Goff.

on the other side of the equation it wouldn’t shock me to see Goff lead the team to a 5 win season and match the 26td 10int Stafford put up...so I don’t really think this provides many answers

I think we need to pump the brakes on some of the WRs we are throwing around... unless they take big time cuts, we not getting Godwin, ARob or Golladay.

Likely yes. But maybe the short cap works in Snead's favor and gets them a one year deal.

Excuses can be made for any player we are on board with. For instance we can compare Goff and Stafford numbers over and over and only when the rams actually play next season will we have some answers. The numbers are tight and all I can say in Stafford's defense. Not having a workhorse RB most of his lion career besides Bush it's like a running back when the defense stacks the box. The defense knew the lions were strictly passing team it got Stafford killed and teams played the pass more let's at least see if some open field gets the improvement at the position we seek. No? That same argument works for Goff as well when gurley was effective he was effective...when gurley sucked Goff sucked and akers yes he came on late but by then it was to late a full season with this current akers might have been different back to old Goff but the rams saw it different so I can't argue with it.

We all have opinions from our vantage. In this podcast you get actual real news based on real events and opinions from inside the Rams building.

I'm not telling you my opinion here. I said I was done.

You can refuse the best possible source we have if you choose, or you can be open to a different interpretation of the trade and listen. It was the best and most comprehensive discussion on the trade that you will find. One of them seemed to be against it and the other understood it. I'm hooked. Jordan is the most informed Rams reporter I've ever come across.
