I can't help but stress over the picks but as Mack says - if we restructure and go all in - I am on board the Stafford train once the season starts. As someone else so eloquently put itI got ya man. Not everyone is going to love the trade and that's understandable. Everyone had their own opinion on Goff and our offense struggles, but McVay made it clear something was wrong there. On GMFB this morning Ian Rappaort said there was a disconnect between Goff and McVay when it came to work ethic. Maybe thats what it was, or maybe they got into a bad argument about starting in the Seattle game and that caused friction. Who knows.
But dont stress over the picks, if you look at the NFL trade value chart and what we offered vs Carolina and their 8th pick...We came out ahead. Especially given Detroit took Goff's entire contract off our hands.
main if i could have been at the table next to them... just to eavesdrop
Yeah I get that but I have always had trouble with that analysis because when that year's draft comes up - you still have a fricken extra first round pick.In NFL Draftnik terms a 1st rounder in 2022 equals a 2nd rounder in 2021 and so on.
Going by that thinking, the Rams traded Jared Goff AND HIS CONTRACT, a 2nd rounder and two 3rd rounders for Stafford.

Yeah but that's when you make statements like that - I know I wouldn't be able to stop watching football even though I did say that I was going to stop watching football. Not sure why anyone would decide to stop rooting for the Rams NOW. You have the whole off-season to make that decision. Why do it now, in the heat and passion of the moment, when there is absolutely NO time pressure in the decision. Isn't it always better to take your time with a decision when you have the time to make it?

Choo the fuck Choo
But back to the first round picks - what the hell am I going to do on the first day of the draft for the next 3 years
I know I know - what have I done the last 4 years?

The passion made me make that statement.
Immature - maybe but dammit I was pissed
Yeah I was all in on the Watson train too.I texted some shit to a friend that I had to walk back the next day, but I was furious.
I got over it pretty quick, but my initial reaction was rage and disappointment.
If 0 is nuclear rage and 10 is bliss...
I was at at 2...now I'm at a 10
Edit: Watson woulda put me at an 11... ya know...cuz 11 is more than 10.

Is there a link to a report? I'm curious about this...
I’d hardly call their way passive. They traded for Jimmy they traded for Ford they’ve drafted well. They’ve built a damn good team they just got screwed by injuries this year.IMO its better to fail trying to be proactive and aggressive rather than passive. I get there's a fine line between aggressive and reckless, but damn its exciting.
As a fan I definitely prefer this route over the fucking boring decade of mediocrity we had during the Linehan/Spagnolo/Fisher eras.
