Who is this sosa k ? I’ve seen him linked here a few times but he’s not verified and doesn’t have many followers. Is he a rams reporter?
Will be curious to see how Stafford fairs on drop backs on 3rd and long with his center sitting in his lap play after play.I know but it irks me that people were so against Goff that they couldn't see the majority of his problems was due to a crappy center position. A weak link in the line really offsets how much better the rest of the line is.
But I guess I will have to agree to disagree with those who were so against Goff improving.

He's a wannabe Rams reporter. Just some dude on twitter presenting himself as a Rams expert....No different from us, except he appears to have a lot of time on his hands.Who is this sosa k ? Blythe is gone IMO. I think we’ll restructure a few guys/extend Stafford and create some cap space to fix the o line. At least that’s what we should do we just invested a lot into Matthew we should do everything we can to set him up for successWill be curious to see how Stafford fairs on drop backs on 3rd and long with his center sitting in his lap play after play.

I agree with you that it really appears that McVay lost trust in Goff even though Goff had proven on many occasions that he does extremely well in the 4th qtr.I saw it. I was basically screaming at the TV when we were up 24-3 against both the Patriots and Bears and McVay wasn't making Goff throw. I was so confused. The weirdly conservative nature of our game winning drive against Tampa.
IMO, when you look at all this together, I think McVay felt he had to remain conservative because of Goff and he hated it.
From McVay's perspective, the treatment of Goff is pretty easy to see if you imagine all the Monday morning conversations about missed WRs, missed throws and turnovers. This was a number one overall pick making $30 million - that matters. I hate comparing pro sports to real life, but if you're a highly paid employee but are underachieving, you won't have long.
Just my perspective on it. We don't know what McVay actually saw in Goff and we'll never know, but if it was as bad as my guess above, easy to imagine the frustration.
NOTE: I'm not saying this as fact, just my thoughts

Ok that’s what I figured. He’s not employed by anyone though right?Think he's just a fan. Someone else actually posted the tweet with Sam Famer, but yeah, he seems to be a fan who aggregates Rams news, info.
It's very possible. Again I want to see his games last year and probably a couple games this year to fully get on board the Stafford train.Like I said, I HATED it at first as well.
I fully expect that once people see him in this offense, Stafford will win folks over.
We'll have pre-season games and after the first few series, I think folks will start moving...and quickly...to appreciating Stafford.

I’d prefer to only restructure Donald and Ramsay and extend Stafford 1 or 2 years. That 21m should be enough to sign an o lineman and get a deep threat. I think McVay made it clear he wants a burner. If they really want to go all in, they'll do full restructures of Donald, Ramsey, Woods and Kupp and extend Stafford to reduce his cap hit this year.
That will give us something like $38M in cap room.
At that point, we'd have room for Floyd, to go out and get Linsley and maybe even Warford or Scherff
Sosa is a Rams fan and a Rams blogger. Popular among Rams twitter and had some decent knowledge. I've known him for a few years via Twitter. But he's in no way a Rams reporter.Who is this sosa k ? I disagree with that about the mic going off stuff.Am I quibbling? Majority?
The defenders who studied him didn't say "hey, if we just blow up the Center, Goff's done."
They said, "if we change the look after the mic goes off, he can't adjust"
That's pretty damning and I was among his biggest supporters.
Doesn't mean that both our IOL and Gurley's fall weren't big influences. They were.
And Goff's ability to process has been seriously brought into question... and we saw that on Sundays... we don't need to be able to diagram plays or coach football to know what we saw...
How about Floyd? I think Johnson is gone because the Rams wouldn't want to pay a safety that much but an OLB is extremely important to this defense and I think Floyd is a decent complement to Donald. Could also use an upgrade but if no one else is willing maybe go back to Floyd.I’d prefer to only restructure Donald and Ramsay and extend Stafford 1 or 2 years. I think Floyd is a solid overall defender and his main value is playing sound football and setting the edge. His sack numbers mean nothing to me as I believe he got the Aaron Donald boost that Fowler got and I think Fowler is a better pure pass rusher than Floyd. Basically I’m not worried about losing Floyd he’s a nice piece but not one to lose sleep over.H

I saw how Goff played when he had time and when he had pressure.
He was two completely different QBs.
And some of the Anti Goff people can be rightly against Goff because he didn't handle pressure well. I just feel he would have been a completely different QB if he got an upgrade at center.
Well, then you disagree with the NFL defenders and defensive coaches who have game planned against him, not me.
But once you watch the games, we can talk further.
