No I agree ...nobody is above criticism...I did say the offense but as we all know the qb is the main focus of an offense. That take is fair enough.
The guy creating and designing the offense and coaching the players up and making the personnel decisions is as much of a focus if not more. But he seems to be beyond criticism.

Ok calm down. Goff did not turn the ball over like Winston. Not even close. I dont know that my guy. Some players thrive and play better in those conditions and jg got the rams in the sb in the exact scenario you're saying he would be bad in. So I really don't know tbh.

I mentioned that in my initial post but you went on the defensive about Goff. I know he has and I know what he did for this team and I'm very grateful. That said it was a different player one that was taking steps forward. Then he regressed why he regressed is speculative. Everyone has there own take so I understand. Winning one game also in a horrific environment is a lot different than week to week. We know he was capable but is he still capable and the rams didn't or couldn't afford the luxury to wait. Time to move forward.

By whom??? My post clearly states nobody is beyond criticism. Lastly we don't watch the coach ay we watch the players play if the pattern repeats itself then we know where the obvious disconnect is. That's how it's always worked. If the issues continue then the target is solely placed on Mcvay.

Except Goff played better with fans in the past. But yeah whatever sounds good.

Except for the previous year with fans lol. My point was only that fans create offensive chaos even for the best offenses. All I'm saying is goff and the rest off the offense probably struggle that much more.
Even something as simple as false starts backs you up etc. You know football you know what I'm getting at.

@Giles and I don't have the numbers in front of me but if I'm not mistaken Goff was up there for qbs with the most turnovers maybe second to Winston. This includes fumbles too.

Goff has the most turnovers the last two years. I'm not debating that. But Winston had 30+ turnovers in 2019 alone. That's insane. Only reason he doesn't have more is because he was a back up in 2020. Otherwise he would be leading by a pretty good margin. I'm confident in that.

Yup. Rams win easy.
Completing an undefeated season.
For the 2nd year in a row
Actually, they might have still lost the 2017 finale when Mannion started but he might have gained some of Stafford's brilliance by osmosis, and they win
Well, at least we'll never lose another game going forward.
So there's that...

I'm not gonna argue that it was time to move on. I dont agree with it but it is what it is and I'll root for Stafford just like I did with jg. My problem is people putting all the blame on jg and refuse to even look at mcvay and hold him responsible for his offense. That's bs and it blows my mind seeing it.

Agreed but if Winston has 100 turnovers it doesn't make me feel better if Goff has 38 or 40 lol it's too many. That was a huge issue. He definitely is not on that planet but in fairness Winston wasnt on planet 34 million a yr either.

That I can understand and I think I said it earlier to another poster players play so they are the first to get criticism especially the quarterback so coaches coach so we don't get to be as critical yet because mcvay did help turn a punchline of a franchise around that said nobody is beyond criticism. If patterns repeat themselves and we see the same bullshit time outs and we some how break Stafford then yes the problem lyes with the coach. You live by the sword you die by the sword. Mcvay put a lot of pressure on himself this year so let's see how he handles it. This is a wait and see approach.

More in depth analysis this is definitely intriguing. Apologies about the order of the content but then again I could listen to the Jones part over and over lol. Provides some hope.

Biggest point they made: Stafford has 31 4th quarter comeback victories since he entered the league in 2009. Most in the NFL over that span. Yet people want to knock him for not winning enough :ROFLMAO:. Look at his roster last year. 31st ranked defense. 32nd ranked rushing attack.

The people that don't like the trade or talked shit on him haven't watched him play. Im mean seriously sat and watched him play full games. Because if you have, the talent level is clearly elite. We're going to be so fucking good next year.

Because acquiring Stafford is the only reason people couldn't like how the Rams have run things the last few years right? LOL keep on keeping on man. And yes people can have watched Lions games and still not agree with you.

That’s a good point but with Stafford at QB in 2020, do the Rams win one or two of five losses in which Goff struggled (Miami, Jets, Seattle and both Niner games)?

That would have improved the Rams to the 5th or 3rd seed, and changed their playoff-path.

We still play the Seahawks in the first round, and we still would have been fucked if Donald got injured. The injuries against Seattle killed our season. In order for us to make a run with Stafford, we'd have to invent a fantasy scenario where those injuries don't happen. And if those injuries don't happen, I feel plenty good about our chances with Goff too.

Matthew Stafford replaces Goff in Superbowl 53 and I don't have to tell anyone what happens

We lose. Stafford has never won a playoff game in his career, has consistently shrunk in big games, and stunk up the field the last time he was in the playoffs.

Man, can you lend me that crystal ball of yours? I would love to make a few quick bets...

Are you really lecturing somebody else about speculating literally the post after you did the same thing? :ROFLMAO:

is that better than not surrendering a halftime lead for 40 straight games with a halftime lead?
