People aren't helping others get over losing a QB they've rooted for as the Rams starter for 4+ years. You and others belittle them tell them their opinion is bad or they need to get over it. It's now been one week and we get daily posts and threads rehashing hot takes on Goff sucking yet those people can't seem to get over it a week later either and that seems to be fine to some. Yet you don't see F bomb loaded tirades about peoples opinions on Goff just on posts about the trade for Stafford. You don't see people suggesting others need butt cream to people who can't get over bad games from Jared. I think there are more people that need to move on than you realize.

Well I missed that last reply so I answered.

The butt cream came as a response to the snide remarks about 45 points. I’ve said it before. I give what I get on here.

I loved the trade five minutes after I read it, and I was in the Goff camp previously. I agree it would be great if people got over it. What’s done is done. Try to find some good in it, or at least try to understand the move so they can do their best to accept it.

Why is is a snide remark and not a joke? Part of understanding is discussion which will lead to acceptance for some. By and large people aren't allowed to discuss not being in favor of this trade or how things went down they're ridiculed.

Karma from pre-Goff trade discussions, perhaps?

Why not just put that in blue font? It's clear you don't think Stafford will do well for the Rams... and it really doesn't even sound like you and some others WANT Stafford to succeed. I always thought that was a strange stance for a TEAM fan to take.

Why can't people who will not let Goff go, just wish for BOTH QB's to have success??
Never said that... don't put words in my mouth.

I will say that I think there were other issues besides Goff and the idea that he steps in and is the end all be all is a stretch in my view.

He is better... Or at least more talented and experienced. Still not sold that he makes this team a top 3 offense based on just him and improving that one position.

And if they get a bunch of injuries on the OL, well that's no excuse. Wasn't accepted as one in 19' so can't be one going forward.

As I stated before...I hope he does what Brady did in Tampa... unfortunately he doesn't have Brady's track record no matter what people try to tell us.

Brady leaves the Pats and they fall apart. Stafford leaves Detroit snd they probably still win 5 or 6 games again next yr. Thus he never elevated them. That is my concern.

News Flash: This Trade in Debatable.

Proven by true Rams fans ended up landing on both sides of the discussion. If one were to waste time looking through my own responses, one would find many "Like"s on folks loving Goff/hating the trade, and thinking Goff was the problem/loving the trade. This is what makes it fertile ground for discussion.

For me, it is quite obvious this can turn out many different ways as we look back on it. Depending on injuries, offenses installed in Detroit and tweaks made in LA, and 1000 other unknown variables. The bottom line is Kroenke has put his trust in McVay's vision, Snead is holding nothing back in getting him the players to best execute his vision, so no matter what the outcome we can look back on this as the right thing to do at this time.

Personally, my hope is 30 years from now, Rams fans look back on these next 5+ seasons as the salad days, on par with GSoT. But I plan on enjoying the ride either way.

GO RAMS!

It seemed snide to me. The commenter is clearly against the trade.

So if I understand you correctly, the anti trade group can continue to espouse why they don’t like the trade, but the pro trade group needs to move on. Is that what you are saying? Because I was originally trying to help the anti group to move on. But they clearly do not want to. So we will just have a big gripe thread of people griping about the trade from here on out.

I’ll move on. Be sure to notify everyone not to quote or reply with counters to my pro trade remarks.:)(y)

Don't see anyone calling Goff a moron.

But hey, keep thinking Goff wasn't a problem - go against the Rams coaches, neutral fans AND half (or more) of all Rams fans.

I'm sure we're ALL wrong about Goff.
You come off as really arrogant, you know?

Every forum I’ve seen gets personal because people disagree. Why is this? Because dudes get defensive when others don’t join in on their sentiments.

I got banned for 24 hours last week because a dude said “F you” to me. Poster also said “you don’t know what I’ve gone through in my life,” and I said that “everyone goes through trials and tribulations”.

Banned.

Not making this about me. But this type of thing happens in every forum just because of disagreement. #truth #facts.

And keep thinking Goff was the only problem.

I just see 114 pages of discussion not to mention new threads that were created for people to get their feelings off their chest. Either way though you are right about both sides needing to move on.

All QBs, even the GOATs Brady and Rogers' play suffers when their Oline breaks down. And Goff's did as well.
That said the only issue that I had with trading Goff for Stafford is the price we paid. I am now past the initial shock of the whole thing and am just excited to see how Stafford does in our offense going forward!
That is what we as fans of the Rams should be focusing on now. (y)

Yeah I was mostly against the trade because of the two firsts we paid.

I even said before the trade that I might be okay with getting Stafford but I did put in a qualification that there is a Detroit fan in my office who has a very low opinion of Stafford.

Anyway I have moved on but I still believe Goff is going to have a heck of a year next year because Detroit has a really good center to help keep a clean pocket for Goff. I will forever believe (until proven wrong) that all Goff needs is a clean pocket for more than 2.5 seconds.

Group think isn't always correct.

I am a staunch Villanova basketball fan. Maybe you dont follow college BB, but their coach, Jay Wright, was labled a choke artist and an overrated coach by the talking heads and so called experts. He had top teams get knocked out early 3-4 yrs in a row and he took a ton of heat in the CB world. Was considered a joke by some.

He ended up winning 2 NCAA titles since then.

Just saying there are often other factors that play a big role that many overlook or want to overlook.

I hope I am wrong. I hope he comes in here and wins a couple titles like Plunkett did. I just have concerns that the public and their group think might be wrong here. A little irrational exuberance if you want to call it that.

Hard to take anything away from that prick Brady, but he HAS been in the same system his ENTIRE career. When he got to Tampon, Arians tried to force his own system on ol' Tommy, and it wasn't working.... So back to the EP system they went..... and rightfully so.

Stafford has not had that luxury. He has been in more systems than a crack whore. I am not going to compare the two QBs other than to say that they are BOTH a product of their environment to a large degree.

I have 4 very good friends that are Lions fans. One hates the Lions for thinking they got fleeced, one things the Rams are idiots for getting fleeced and the other two think very little of either QB and thinks it hardly moves the needle. With everything time will tell but opinions from both fan bases are all over the map.
