Went over to a jags fan website and most of them think a 4th or 5th will get him.The Jaguars have until May 4 to exercise the 5th year option. I would assume that carries over to a team that trades for him.
90% want his ass off the team. o_0

What are you talking about there is multiple teams interested. BTW there is not a huge need for featured backs most teams have one.So with him the Rams' will soar again...of course the
I don't hear of many teams beating their door down to make this trade...Why is that ??? Maybe with a large bag of chips it would have to include a bunch 'o pints of Guinness ??? I don't think he's the last piece..
Well if the Jags fans want him gone, for sure he would be worth getting!Went over to a jags fan website and most of them think a 4th or 5th will get him.

I don't care how many yards from scrimmage Fournette had; he's been nicked up his whole career, he's a malcontent, and - to put the cherry on top of the metaphorical shit sundae - he's an expensive rental. However much you may want to get him, you're going to lose a lot more good players if you do that, like, say, Ramsey and Kupp if you re-sign him, or you wasted a valuable Day 2 pick for one year of Fournette's production, if you don't.
Compare that to an excellent running back class overall (with names like Taylor, Edwards-Helaire, Dobbins, Moss, Benjamin, and many others even when not including Swift) who will be signed for four years, and you can see why I don't value Fournette as much as you do.
Gonna be honest, I half expect us to trade for Fournette. Jags fans are saying 4th or 5th round value. He's apparently a great pass protector and a good receiver. Considering our past trades with that front office (Fowler and Ramsey), I wouldn't be surprised if it happens this week. Question is do we want to move more cap into the future to make it work?
So my girlfriend is struggling tonight. Kiddos went to their dads for a sleep over. First time in over 18 months. She's crying on the phone and not sure how to cope. I explain this is a sad by product of having children live through a divorce. Oh pass on Fournette and draft a rookie. She agreed and cried the rest of the conversation.
Tough night , but she'll be ok.
Seriously you need to do your homework before posting. There are no RBs in this year's draft class that compare to how I had Fournette ranked coming out of LSU. I thought the Jags picked him a bit too high, but I still expected Fournette to perform better than he has at the NFL level. Having said that, where a player lands out of the draft is huge to development. And Jacksonville is a mess. Arguably the worst mess in the NFL right now. It is important to keep that in mind as well.
In Fournette, we are getting a bonafide #1 RB, even if he isn't an elite one right now, with the possibility of him reaching his draft potential in a good environment to become a top 5ish. Nobody we'd be in a position to draft this year could bring us that. He can also provide some good power, which would be a nice compliment to Henderson. He's also on his rookie deal, so he isn't overly expensive, although he would certainly be pricier than anyone we would draft in the mid-to-late rounds of this year's draft.
On the other hand, he is going to want real money soon, so he is likely nothing more than a short-term answer. He does have some injuries in his past. He has under achieved to date. And some people are also wondering if he is a headcase. I do not mind the Cam Newton comments much, which I don't consider egregious in the first place, and again - he is in Jacksonville.
I'd like it if Leonard Fournette was more efficient. His volume of carries is huge - they really feed him in Jacksonville. You have to remember that when looking at his numbers. At the same time, he has put up very respectable stats as the focal point of that offence with almost no other weapons. I'd have to check the stats, but I imagine he faced tons of stacked boxes.
End verdict: if we can get him on the cheap (e.g. a 5th round pick - which allegedly might be enough to get it done) and make the financials work, I hope we grab him. Worst case scenario at that price, he becomes a cheap stop-gap option at RB as we address another needs. We have lots of holes to fill this year. I'd rather use a mid round pick at a position other than RB, if we can get Fournette for a 5th as rumored. we can draft a long-term RB with a higher pick in future years, when we either have less holes to fill and/or Henderson shows he isn't part of the answer going forward. RB is a position you can draft any year.
Exactly right. As I looked at our priority needs imo: C, G, ILB, OLB, RB, BU FS, CB that is tough to draft obviously. Taking the RB out of the equation really helps plus the RB is WAY BETTER than any RV in the draft.I could see it, too. I saw the articles heating up yesterday he wanted to be traded... and hmm. Sorta fits our recent MO.
A late round pick here allows the early ones to go elsewhere.
Great stats, proves what the Rams can do with him. I have never been so adament that we need LF.In 2017 2018 and 2019 gurley saw an 8 man box 8%, 17% and 24% of the time respectively while Fournette saw 49%, 32%, and 31%
Leonard has seen more loaded boxes than my wife's obstetrician which makes me very interested in what he could do in our scheme.
The production comes from the O-line and ZBS. I have posted before that during the '17 & '18 season, Rams Rb's averaged nearly 3 yards of positive gain before contact ; that's the best in the League. It didn't matter who carried the Ball. Then, in '19, when there were problems with the O-line, that "yards-before-contact" stat really took a dump, and TG's numbers went down.LF is huge steal if we can get him. Also you think Swift (probably no chance of drafting) or Taylor or Dobbins would REMOTELY co e anywhere near LF production I seriously doubt it.
