Dotson playing or not playing is one of the X factors.

Bears will probably gameplan for Parkinson and get a heavy dose of Higbee instead.

I’m hoping for a very RB-centric gameplan. Pass game included. Our backs need to be involved.
I don't trust Corum's hands in the best of conditions.

I think someone asked earlier if the Rams ever win a cold weatger playoff game. Not sure if that question was answered. I can think of only 1989 vs Philly & Giants. Philly was a cold rain in the 30's, but I recall the Giants game being in the mid 20's if I recall correctly. Just an FYI.

Not sure how cold it was in 2020 in Seattle. Maybe upper 30's, 40's?

Cold enough for you?

RAMS beat the pokes in 1976 divisional playoff game at Texas Stadium, too.
Yes ... and ... THAT was a Great Rams' win. Final victory of Merlin Olsen's career.

Billy Joe Dupree was inches short on a 4th down reception.

I should have done my research before posting ... Thanks for the correction.

There was so much made of the non-call but the Aints got away with a LOT in that game including a facemask of Goff that would have given the RAMS 1st and goal inside the five yard line. That was the possession immediately prior to the the Aints one that caused all the controversy.
So the best example (of Vinovich 'fucking' the Rams) is a game the Rams won to make a Super Bowl?

I need more to hate the guy.

And Dallas GM Tex Schram whined forever about the ball spot on DuPree's reception.
America's Team was supposed to get ALL the calls, dontchaknow?
Then Rusty Jackson, whom had two punts blocked already, ran out the clock skirting the end line
without entering Dan Orlovsky territory until the clock was at 0:00.

Before there was Wilcher (LT Lite), there was 1979 #1 pick George Andrews. Had really come into his own when knee injuries struck.
Then, Wilcher replaced him. Also, I seem to remember Wilcher wore #94 early in his career. May have been a down lineman DE?
The opposite of Leonard Little who went from LB to DE?
Good memory. Wilcher wore #94 his rookie season of 1983.
The Rams' top four draft choices that season were Dickerson, Ellard, Wilcher and Vince Newsome.

Not worried about the temperature one bit. Much more worried about our defense being able to get stops and get off the field. Their backs are slippery, they’ve got a QB who can make plays with his legs, and they’ve got a diverse group of pass catchers.

I feel great about what our offense will do. I think we are going to move up and down the field and score a lot of points. We absolutely can win a shootout, but if we get our defense to turn back the clock to its October self then I think we could blow these guys out.

Except McVay and Stafford won't run the ball. McVay is going down with the pass. Watching young pass on our defense like he did, I can only imagine how many passes will be completed by Caleb. We are not very good there.
We are 7th in the league in Rushing yds per game, as well as total Rushing yds for the season.

Saying McVay doesn’t run the ball is an old Wives Tale.

Rams are a good running team, but it's only because the Rams are an elite passing team. But if you notice when the Rams try to close out games by running the ball (especially when we have a big lead) it's usually ends in disaster.

The Rams running game is not designed to be great especially when the opposing defense plays a run defense against us.... Our run offense is good when it offsets the pass ( passing is our primary offensive philosophy).

Don't ask for it, he might deliver this weekend.
Don't think so.

My original Vinovich comment was in response to posts #212 and 214 (page 11) listing the officials for the Divisional Round. Bill Vinovich was Not listed for the Rams' game ... believe it was Shawn Hochuli.

The Bradford injury game in Carolina. Referee is typically responsible for protecting the QB. Let that POS Mike Mitchell hit him out of bounds and then flex over him afterwards. Should be 30 yards in penalties and a potential suspension. Every call and non call went the Panthers way.

Prior to the Saints game, Rams were something like 1-8 with him as the referee. They fared better from Saints on, winning something like 3 of 4, but it was petty terrible prior to that. Triple something had a similar record of bias against the Rams.

I haven’t liked Cheffers and his crew this year, and have noted a poor performance from the blond female and side of back judge on the crew (two inadvertent whistles in Seattle and their game after).

Of the playoff referees, I have no opinion of Hochules and Shawn. That’s usually a positive sign as a ref when you go unnoticed.

Bear were 11-6, lets not act like these are the 85 Bears.

And 8 of those wins were by less than 5 points......something to that effect.....

Respect all, fear none.....

Rams win......
