Except McVay and Stafford won't run the ball. McVay is going down with the pass. Watching young pass on our defense like he did, I can only imagine how many passes will be completed by Caleb. We are not very good there.

I like watching Stafford pass the ball. It's exciting. Sometimes it's like a lucky dip, you have no idea what's going to happen.

I like the fact that Stafford played in that cold weather for 10 years

Expected to be around 0 degrees, with windchill making it -4 degrees
I think someone asked earlier if the Rams ever win a cold weatger playoff game. Not sure if that question was answered. I can think of only 1989 vs Philly & Giants. Philly was a cold rain in the 30's, but I recall the Giants game being in the mid 20's if I recall correctly. Just an FYI.

Not sure how cold it was in 2020 in Seattle. Maybe upper 30's, 40's?

Kyren? Yes. Not so sure about throwing the ball to Corum in cold weather. His hands are iffy.
Neither are ideal pass catching backs, yeah. I’d like to see both of them get the ball out in space. Especially Corum who can at least make a guy miss out there.

And it looks like it'll be regularly televised so I don't have to sign up to some stupid platform I am not interested in.
Thankfully those are only for the wild card round...for now. Remember, they first "eased" us in by streaming holiday games...

Seems like it will be bitterly cold; and that could have an impact on either of the teams or game ... or ... Not.

Also, the UV Index will be Low. That could have an impact ... or ... Not. Depends on what the fuck is a UV Index.

Raises the question ... Do any of you clowns know a hot weather chick? If so, could you post a few pictures?

Honestly I don't know but I just shared that info as it was released right before the end of the Texans/Steelers game.
I looked it up and it was based on bringing in the most viewership. I guess they cared more about the spectacle than the temps players would be subjected to.

It's all about the Benjamins!!! What's going to get a larger national audience? Houston @ New England or Los Angeles @ Chicago? We all know the answer to that. Where's that East Coast Bias???? :laugh4:

Does 3 hours really matter for the temps? It's forecasted to be 14 for a high Sunday and 8 degrees for a low. Once your nose is numb from the 14, will it really feel the 8?

The plus side of playing the last game of the weekend is, we'll know who's next and where. And we'll be one of the last 5 teams standing either way!!!! :laugh4:

Owen's was a really good player. I think he was their #1 pick in 81'? Out of Michigan. He and Mike Wilcher were one of the best OLB tandems in the league and one of the best the Rams had in their history.

Before there was Wilcher (LT Lite), there was 1979 #1 pick George Andrews. Had really come into his own when knee injuries struck.
Then, Wilcher replaced him. Also, I seem to remember Wilcher wore #94 early in his career. May have been a down lineman DE?
The opposite of Leonard Little who went from LB to DE?

Raise your hand if you're old enough to remember the "Mud Bowl". Vikings cursed us again and beat us without Tark.
When it became all too clear Haden couldn't grip the ball, Knox should have gone to Ferragamo.
Vince relieved a struggling Haden as the RAMS fell behind and played well (2 TD passes) in the season ending loss to Washington (George Allen's final game as Redskins coach) the week prior and if Rafael Septien makes a last-second FG, the RAMS salvage a tie.

If SoFi existed then we woukd have KILLED them. Cowboys, who were the best team in '77 would have beaten us in Championship Game next week.
RAMS destroyed them, before Tarkenton had his season-ending broken ankle, on MNF that October 35-3 at the Coli. And Billy Waddy had a punt return TD called back.
Fred Cox made a FG that was at the edge of his range at that point in his career or it would have been a shutout in front of Dandy Don, Howard Cosell and the nation.

The only Rams' playoff game I remember Bill Vinovich officiating was the NFC Championship in New Orleans; and that one worked-out well. What games did he 'fuck' the Rams?

Honest Question. I will hate the guy ... if it's deserved.
There was so much made of the non-call but the Aints got away with a LOT in that game including a facemask of Goff that would have given the RAMS 1st and goal inside the five yard line. That was the possession immediately prior to the the Aints one that caused all the controversy.

Yeah ... that was painful.

Vikings had the Rams' number for ten years, beating them in '69, '74, '76 and '77.

The Rams broke through in 1978; and also eliminated Minnesota in 1999 and last year but lost to the Vikings in the 1988 playoffs.

So the Rams are 3-5 against Minnesota in the post-season but all three wins have come in the most recent four meetings.

Similar to Dallas. Cowboys beat the Rams in '73, '75 and '78 before the Rams finally won in 1979.
Dallas eliminated the Rams again in 1980 but since then, the Rams have won three times ('83, '85 and 2018).

So, 4-4 against Dallas in the playoffs but the Rams have won four of the past five match-ups.

I remember every one of those games ... but sometimes, I forget my phone and social security numbers.

At least I remember the important stuff.
RAMS beat the pokes in 1976 divisional playoff game at Texas Stadium, too.
