We have thoughts on guys who played this preseason. Anyone around the league any of you tracking or hoping the Rams can sign?

I think we worry a bit much about guys getting claimed but I could see a guy like Paul get picked if a team like Tenn liked him in the draft but how likely.

Not really. If a guy declines to join his own teams PS he can join whoever's PS he wants to. Remember that Baylor LB we had a few yrs ago during one of the Hardnocks under McVay. The guy decided to go to Carolina's PS because his dad coached there.

Once a guy is on a teams PS, you have to put him on your 53 if you want to poach him off that teams PS.

I'd bet most of those 28.5 come off rosters of the better teams (like the Rams) though.

Forgot Tru Edwards (WR). He made some outstanding catches, and he's 6'3". I'd add in Ben Dooley (OG/OC), Trey Wedig (OT), Josh Pearcy (EDGE), Da'Jon Terry (DL), Charles Woods (CB), Cam Lampkin (CB), and maybe Drake Stoops (WR).

That's not counting others on the opposing practice squads who can come here.

I'm just hoping we keep Pooh Paul and Cody Schrader; any others are likely replaceable. I think both of them get claimed by some other team, though.

No. If a player was released in the cut-down to 53, he can sign with another team's PS. Usually, a player will re-sign with the team that cut him because of familiarity on both sides but there are exceptions.

No, I want all of the good players. There is a difference.

Scour the cuts for possible help at CB or Edge. Otherwise lock and load until the trade deadline.

Yeah, I want the best OL guys available since we have a few 1 year rentals in Quessonberry & Humphries. So if we can develop another depth guy that would help down the road.

I like it.
Id replace Waters with Heflin. Really liked his play.
Also Stoops at WR and either Jolly or Green at CB.
Id look at other teams cuts for a TE, T, QB as well.
