We lost him to waivers ... to the Eagles.
Seriously?

Practice Squad numbers ... by position ... make sense.

Carrying seven DL, ten OL and 4 TEs is a bit heavy but just 3 RBs and especially just 9 DBs is kind of light.

Having two experienced RBs and four DBs on their Practice Squad makes sense. Particularly happy with the four DBs, as I think they all flashed. Can flex two PS players up for game-day; and can definitely see one of them being a DB ... maybe Ingle for Special Teams.

Wondering if the 16th, and final spot, may be a player cut from another team.

I think Willie Lampkin is an NFL player. That pisses me off.
Especially because the Rams just could have simply stashed Lampkin on IR (as they did with Keir Thomas) with his ankle injury; and treated 2025 as a red-shirt year.

Added to that is the Eagles have an outstanding Front Office that (like the Rams) make a lot of smart moves.

This was my initial thought on him as well. I actually thought the “injury” could have been overstated as a way to stash him away. It sure seemed like the smart play, to me at least.

Dresser Winn?
Maybe. Was hoping for Waters but a 3rd RB on the PS doesn't fit.

I'm thinking it could be an Edge cut by another team. Only four on the 53 and one on the PS seems light but maybe they view Desjuan Johnson as another Edge. He played it a ton last Saturday.

The way the Rams utilized Hoecht as a LB/5th-pass-rusher makes me wonder who and how the Rams will use that alignment in 2025. On a lot of passing downs, the Rams had Turner and Fiske at DL, with Young and Verse on the Edge ... Plus Hoecht kind of floating around. And, apparently Hoecht was trusted to make pre-snap reads and adjustments.

Jordan Rodrigue alluded to this on the podcast posted the other day but did not specifically name any player. If Troy Reeder is used in that role, I may cry ... big, giant baby tears ... it won't be pretty.

No blue font needed for that comment.

Are my eyes deceiving me or is Derion Kendrick off the team, which would be a dream come true?

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. – The Rams have signed 15 players to their initial practice squad for the 2025 season, including two veterans:

OL A.J. Arcuri
OL Wyatt Bowles
WR Tru Edwards
CB A.J. Green (veteran)
DT Jack Heflin
S Tanner Ingle
CB Cam Lampkin
OL Dylan McMahon
OLB Jamil Muhammad
ILB Elias Neal
DT Bill Norton
WR Brennan Presley
RB Ronnie Rivers (veteran)
RB Cody Schrader
S Nate Valcarcel
Interesting as I thought I saw rumblings that they liked Neal at ILB.

Sure sounded to me like she said they were looking at a seasoned edge to play Hoecht-backer role and no one really fits that bill outside Young. Also said they were experimenting in TC with guys on the interior out at edge when - I mean it really has to be Young - moves off the ball. Thinking it's a guy they held out of preseason but maybe it's Desjean and they just wanted to get him as many snaps at edge as possible in TC and preseason.

Seeing Acuri hanging around gives me those Bobby Evans vibes. I don't like it.

If you're an offensive lineman with any sort of pulse, you'll stick around the league forever. First it was Bobby Evans, now it's A.J. Arcuri.

Fantastic point. There aren't enough good lineman period. Acuri is a guy the Rams wanted to see grow as a player, he didn't but he knows the system, knows how they practice, probably shows out well on the scout team. Many such cases...
