If it was unclear, i was refuting the statement that he lost the ball after he was down. Nothing more. I think very highly of Kyren.
If “would” and “ifs” were “asses” and “tits” the world would be heaven on earth.

Sorry - I should let it go but I couldn’t help myself. I agree KWill needs to grip the ball tighter but officially (and anyone interested in looking it up 100 years from now) he had 0 fumbles against the Vikings.

And yet all they want to talk about is a fumble. Yes that is amazing.
It's not amazing at all,

It's what sports fans do.

I find it more amazing that some fans become so attached to players, or even their team, that they start to take any criticism personally and as though it's about them.

I agree.
I don’t know why people are so offended that the merits of a player can’t be discussed unless it’s a focus on a single debatable play.
Weird.

Who cares what the official stat sheet shows? I think some people are forgetting that the title and context of this thread is 'Kyren Williams future discussion.'

So all things relevant to whether he should be signed in the future to a large contract is relevant - the good and the bad. I don't see anyone refusing to acknowledge the good about him. It's those who don't want to discuss the bad, who are getting defensive, that are in error because the bad is also relevant in the context of discussing his future with the Rams.

For a future discussion, the only thing that matters in your post is "I agree KWill needs to grip the ball tighter." I'm glad you agree! The official stat sheet of one game on 1/13/25 is completely irrelevant.

ROFL

This is rich coming from the person who actually fabricated that this ever truly an argument bout Kyren Williams having merit.

My argument with you was about refusing to admit a single observable event - in fact just being wrong about it straight up.

That you then fabricated into an entire different argument.

You were 100% wrong about something and instead of just admitting it like a man - you changed it into this entire... whatever the fuck this is.

Pretty amazing work really.

So if killed someone... but never got caught or anyone knew - then it didn't happen because it wasn't on the "official record."

You need to think your logic through a bit more there.

Maybe, but some is a function of the design. He averaged 5.0 YPC last year without huge runs. I'll take that over a 5.0 YPC back who gets 33% of his yards off of 10 carries during the year.
No one is knocking his yards per average. Kyren does not have the ability/speed to break off a long ass TD run period. Would love if he had that but he's still honestly a good ass back. His biggest issue is really his ball security which he needs to clean up.

I think you are mixing up emotion with logic:

Emotionally I stated “KWill needs to grip the ball tighter” which insinuates it emotionally bothers me.

Logically I stated “officially (and anyone interested in looking it up 100 years from now) he had 0 fumbles against the Vikings”.

Logic being “reasoning conducted or assessed according to strict principles of validity”.

Not for me. I pretty much have to read them especially when things get chippy. It’s a fucking drag.

I feel so sorry for you and the other mods, Stu. I stopped reading with my eyes glazed around the second or third page of back-and-forth. I'd almost rather read Twilight than this shit - and everyone who knows me KNOWS how much I hate Twilight.

Kyren will be our RB, until we get someone who may be potentially better. I would like to eventually get a taller RB a Etienne/Irving type frame/style.

Yup, no sense talking about what he is great at when folks can focus on the negative. Its incredible
Anyone here remember Cleveland Gary?

First rd RB for the Rams back in 89', a real good RB. He had size, was an excellent receiver. At the time I thought he could be a Roger Craig type for us. Problem was he was a fumble machine. Ended up that John Robinson couldn't trust him, benched him, eventually they let him walk at the end of his deal (may have traded him)... in any event it essentially cost him an NFL career.

Fumbling issues do matter so hopefully he gets it under control.
