What corner is worth the #13 pick?If they don't take a stud CB with either number one pick it'll be a crime.
I'd gladly take Chris Johnson out of San Diego State with the 13th overall pick without even thinking twice. That's my go-to guy, for me. Credit @Merlin for being the first one on him.What corner is worth the #13 pick?
Or 32nd pick, for that matter.
When it's a situation like this.......Maybe isn't asked to throw very often.....those pulling for MVP have to move the goalposts. It's the roster. It's Stat Padford.Yeah, I see these Drake Maye cheerleaders raving about the Rams skill talent as to why Stafford doesn't deserve MVP. I just argue back that outside of Adams, they were all mid to late round picks or UDFA's. Stafford/ McBay made these guys what they are. Obviously Nacua turned out to be special, but the Rams have also maximized his talent.
So you're saying drafting AD was malpractice then since D line was not a need at the time....ok lolRunning back a position of depth over CB a position of need would be malpractice.
13th = OL or a stud WR.What corner is worth the #13 pick?
Or 32nd pick, for that matter.
13th = OL or a stud WR.
DB = free agency
I know people like to play fantasy GM and all, but I'm sorry. There's no way in hell I would trade either one of those guys as they are in their prime and are working really well together and are among the toughest runners in the league.Corum has a better top gear than Williams, so which one do you trade?
Patriots fans are second only to 69er fans in their incessant whining.Yeah, I see these Drake Maye cheerleaders raving about the Rams skill talent as to why Stafford doesn't deserve MVP. I like a FA CB AND a R1/pick 2 or R2 CB. Save the R1/pick 1 for BPA.13th = OL or a stud WR.
DB = free agency
What is a BPA?I like a FA CB AND a R1/pick 2 or R2 CB. Save the R1/pick 1 for BPA.
I'd like to see runners broken down with charts of gains vs % of those gains.They may not be super flashy, but they are consistent. Usually +yardage. Even with next to no hole Kyren especially can squeeze out 3 to 6 yards.
What I have seen is it takes time for a DB coming out college to have any impact on D.... They usually spend thier time on ST, that's why FA is the way to go. You make some good points about the OL, but we need a WR in the 1st so that Puka doesn't get over used.Absolutely not. Most of the good young DBs are already locked into contracts (and the lone exception in Cor'Dale Flott will have everyone bidding for his services).
There are too many great young corners in this class that will be around for the taking, especially in the first round, to waste this opportunity. At wide receiver, unless Tate or Tyson falls to #13 (unlikely, but stranger things have happened), I don't spend it on a wide receiver. This draft is full of wide receivers (if not Tate or Tyson, Boston, Brazzell II, or Concepcion in the first or Bell, Lane, or Sarratt in the second) that have potential.
Most of the O-linemen entering the draft are tackles anyway; this is a poor guard and especially center class, and while I'm all for drafting a lineman with potential, that's not a strength in this class, and we're good at everything other than swing tackle and an eventual guard to replace one of Dotson or Avila (preferably Dotson; I'd personally love to extend Avila myself along with McClendon).
There are too many good DBs in this class to wait for a much worse free agency. It's much more likely we get our swing OT or another wide receiver in free agency than cornerback.
Sorry. Best Player Available.What is a BPA?
There is only one ball so only one RB at a time. 4 Dline and a rotation. So not a log jam at the Dline position like RB. Not the same thing.So you're saying drafting AD was malpractice then since D line was not a need at the time....ok lol
You must have never met a Pittsburgh fan.Patriots fans are second only to 69er fans in their incessant whining.
He is going to beat all those numbers all by himself once he gets cut loose to wreak havoc. NFL hasn’t seen nothing yet!Sort of like Jarquez Hunter.![]()
I get that argument but Donald was indeed drafted when it was thought he wasn't a need. Poster literally said not drafting for need is malpractice lol. If you do something like this, you do it for a special back like Love. Highly doubt he wouldn't see the field if he's picked that high as he's got speed in bunches and actually runs routes like a WR (there's literally tape on him doing so). I'm personally not expecting the Rams to do it as I'm on record saying I think it's a WR/CB depending how the the draft falls. I'm more so discussing it based on I get why the Rams would do it. The goal is to draft blue chip/elite players with high draft picks. If they do it, they can trade one of those backs later. Corum and Williams are pretty similar backs stylistically (edge to Kyren due to vision/goal line work) but Love is a whole other animal.There is only one ball so only one RB at a time. 4 Dline and a rotation. So not a log jam at the Dline position like RB. Not the same thing.
I know you're kidding around but I don't think it'll be anything like that but I think it could be a similar revelation that we saw McVay had after Blake Coram busted one for about 20 yards in spot duty for Kyren Williams.He is going to beat all those numbers all by himself once he gets cut loose to wreak havoc. NFL hasn’t seen nothing yet!
