Huh? Welcome to the NFL, there's guys on mid-round rookie contracts carrying 80%+ of the load. When his time comes, if nothing changes and they both continue to produce, then we can afford to pay Corum close to Kyren's contract and keep both on the roster for as long as we need to.

For better or for worse, RBs just don't take up a large percentage of the cap space. This is a non-issue.
Let's se what he does in 2026. Much easier decision at that point.

Why does he need to hit that "outside edge"? He can hit in between the tackles and gain huge chunks. He just doesn't have home run ability. Short area explosiveness? He's got that.
I'm not sure what you're arguing about.

You don't care that he can't hit those outside runs, fine! lol

You also seem to think that I don't know/appreciate what Williams is... I do.

You can admire and like a player and still be real about their shortcomings. It's okay.. really.

Trade Corum.... Williams is a better RB
This reply is for the Corum camp in general, not you.

Corum isn't a long-term starter until he learns how to catch. Too many passes bounced off his hands that were almost INTs.

Running wise, he doesn't have better vision either. He looks to bounce it outside the first chance he gets, but has to speed to outrun people that KW can't. This is a wash depending on what you want.

Edit: I still love me some Corum, just catch the ball bro!

I think he improves every game.... Early in the season he would just run into people and his hands were like stone, but I have seen improvement with him.

Oh I'm aware of his shortcomings. He doesn't have blazing speed. Some seem to think that's a serious problem. And yet he scores touchdowns at a rate as good as the fastest RBs in the NFL. Yards don't win games, points do.

He does? You can see improvement from 5 catches on 9 targets over the last 13 games? Wow! I'll admit, a lot better than 3 receptions on 5 targets over the first 4 games (well not really)....but you can *see* improvement, eh?

Wouldn't even think about it then. On one hand, I want a gamechanger, on the other hand, duplication feels like a misuse of assets.

I'd rather get a gamechanger at a weak position.
Todd Gurley carried the load until he could not walk anymore. You need two running backs in today’s NFL and the Rams need to get some touches for Hunter next season. 17 games is the end of the so called Bell Cow running backs.

The current RB room has been fully maximized by the coaching staff, I’d agree with that. Same with the TE room.
Yeah, I see these Drake Maye cheerleaders raving about the Rams skill talent as to why Stafford doesn't deserve MVP. I just argue back that outside of Adams, they were all mid to late round picks or UDFA's. Stafford/ McBay made these guys what they are. Obviously Nacua turned out to be special, but the Rams have also maximized his talent.

Agreed, but if we're still committed to Hunter and draft Love, we'll have four RBs. There's no way all of them get adequate work or we recoup adequate value from all of those picks.
