Agreed -- the RB room is a serious strength.
Only if Love happens to fall to #13 should we even think about drafting an RB this year.
Wouldn't even think about it then. On one hand, I want a gamechanger, on the other hand, duplication feels like a misuse of assets.

I'd rather get a gamechanger at a weak position.

Most yards by a #1 and #2 RB

RAMS >>>> Williams 1252; Corum 746 (1998)
Atlanta >>>> Bijan 1478; Allgeier 514 (1992)
Detroit >>>> Gibbs 1223; Montgomery 716 (1939)
Baltimore >>>> Henry 1595; Mitchell 341 (1936)
Buffalo >>>> Cook 1621; Davis 275 (1896)
Chicago >>>> Swift 1082; Monangai 783 (1870)

I'm not saying they're better than Gibbs/Montgomery or Bijan/Allgeier but their numbers are damn good
Thanks for posting. Nice to see KWill/Corrum at the top. I always considered Gibbs/Montgomery as the gold standard duo.

Well, how many NFL back have the ability to "take it to the house"? Expecting that from KW is unrealistic. Long runs, meaning 15 - 20 yard gains is what most would like to see. And he's had significantly more of those this year. Who wouldn't want a Stafford, Adams, Puka, McBride and Barkley on their offense? How many teams have something very similar?

And curiously enough, Ashton Jeanty was going to be a stud. I'm sure he will be eventually. He had 3 runs of 20 or more yards this year. Not exactly a juggernaut in year 1. Kyren was #11 in runs of 20 yards or more (6). So there were 21 other teams who didn't have a "Kyren".

Kinda surprised the rams were so high without a home run threat like Bijan or Gibbs

I gotta imagine it helps some to have Staff, Puka and Adams for our run game since teams can't always press on the run if we hit em with that play action. Staff has been surgical overall this year.

Many on ROD seem to undervalue the effectiveness of our running game. Kyren gets a lot of undeserved crap-- both for fumbles and long speed.

Rams are #7 in rushing YPG, # 1 in passing YPG, and #1 in total YPG.

I know. But we already have one of the best RB rooms in the league, and he'd make them obsolete. Too much duplication.

Get me a gamechanger somewhere else.
Could trade one of our RBs too. Not saying Love is on this level, but we drafted AD when everyone thought our D line was deep. You draft elite talent where you can if ya ask me lol

I'm surely not one advocating replacing Kyren, however Love is a special talent and after '26 Williams has no guaranteed money
It's a BPA situation for sure and nothing would surprise me.

I wouldn’t cry if they went with Love but if they don’t trade (up or down) their #1s - I see a combo of WR, OT, CB with the first 2 picks.

Completely unrelated to the Topic but an interesting piece-of-Trivia / Side-Note ... All Five of the above totals represent years that ROD Legend @Loyal lived through.

I was a Corum doubter, but he's evolving into a reliable running back, but I don't think we will be able to keep both Corum and Williams. I can see the Rams trading Corum next season for a WR.

The good news is that we're not in a position where we must trade Corum; this is only his second year on a rookie contract. Do we trade him in year four? That remains to be seen, but next season, I doubt we deal him if he's this effective for us.

You just don't get much for a RB in trade in this league. To many available that are considered comparable. The ones that are moving are usually thru free agency. They are drafted resigned or used and let go.
