Ugh....
Watched the trailer and it reeks of Talia Shire in Rocky III

And G-dam it, why on earth cant they get the uniforms right??? Those numbers on the jerseys look about half the normal size

Agreed on both counts. Looks like they are cranking up the sappy schmaltz for this one.

And yeah, they spend a 100 million bucks on these movies, and they can't get the jersey numbers right? Here's a pic of Warner, the 13 is way bigger

You got your wish and we've only seen a few seconds from a glimpse of a trailer haha

this is what the trailer told me.

it will be 10% football and 90% crap with kurt and his family.

the movie will finish after the superbowl win.

the rest of the story where kurt gets dumped and written off by people in the league then makes a glorious comeback with the shit cardinals, which is even more fascinating and interesting, will not be shown.

That's the sequel.

Probably a licensing thing, similar to how a lot of movies will slightly change a logo or name. I used to see it all the time with military uniforms, and it's not hard to recreate them perfectly, so who knows.

I'll probably give it a watch, certainly not in theatres, I doubt they'll even have it showing outside of North America, but maybe on a streaming service or something. Looks like they'll probably end the movie with the Super Bowl, which at least means it'll end with us, probably get some sappy ending with real game footage playing right before the credits, so that could be neat.

... if they screen in Australia , I'll be walking in decked out in my full Warner Uniform.

Warner has said that he likes both franchises equally, and I have not noticed any favoritism. Some of y'all need to fill this out LOL.

Of course I'm a bitch (aside from being a woman). Bitches are female dogs, dogs bark, bark grows on trees, trees are part of nature, and nature is beautiful. Thanks for the compliment! :D

It's a story about Kurt Warner's life from failed NFL QB, journeyman QB, grocery stocker to NFL/SB MVP. What gave you the idea that it would be a movie primarily focused on football and not the story of Kurt Warner?

Because Warner is a football story, plain and simple.
The sappy hallmark warm and fuzzy stuff will kill the movie.

Warner the player vs Warner the man. I'm willing to bet the man himself would say the latter is a far more important story. You can't have the story of the player without the man behind it.

I'm sure there will be enough football in the movie to satisfy fans. Altho it seems impossible to satisfy some fans, period, because we've seen 5 seconds of this movie and you guys are already picking it apart.

Meh... It's a football story that made his life interesting, not the other way around.
The further they gravitate away from football, will make it campier. Hoping I'm wrong but hard to feel moved by that trailer

Nothing gave me an idea. I'm commenting on what the trailer told me about the movie construction.

A few things....

--Let's remember this is a "behind the scenes look," not a real trailer. A trailer will tell us even more.
--I agree with those that are concerned the movie will crank up the sappiness too far.
--Dennis Quaid's Vermeil seems hokey as hell. Like a caricature. Then again, the real Vermeil was hokey as hell.
--Nobody can beat Greg Kinnear's portrayal of Vermeil in "Invincible."
--Football scenes suck without adding the CGI fans in the stands.
--Levi just rubs me the wrong way. Inauthentic comes to mind. Looks kinda like Warner though.
--I'd say that Warner's off the field story has the POTENTIAL to be interesting. I don't necessarily share his religious beliefs, but I've always respected him as a man of strong character and integrity. Sounds like he has done a ton of charitable work, and that he was a great Dad.

The football story? It's a Kurt Warner biopic, not a reimagining of the 1999 St. Louis Rams season.

I am with you. Maybe it is fine once into the flow of the movie?
Yeah, I think the football scenes will probably look great in the final product. They just look weird for now in that "Behind the Scenes" clip. Couldn't have crowds while filming during Covid, so they'll mostly be CGI. Which is fine, I can barely detect CGI anymore, they're so skilled at it.

Kinda glad the first Baltimore game figures prominently in the story. Gotta admit, I could tell it was gonna be a great year after that very first game. They were special from the beginning.
