Agreed on both counts. Looks like they are cranking up the sappy schmaltz for this one.Ugh....
Watched the trailer and it reeks of Talia Shire in Rocky III
And G-dam it, why on earth cant they get the uniforms right??? Those numbers on the jerseys look about half the normal size
I thought I was looking at the Waterboy for a secondAgreed on both counts. Looks like they are cranking up the sappy schmaltz for this one.
And yeah, they spend a 100 million bucks on these movies, and they can't get the jersey numbers right? Here's a pic of Warner, the 13 is way bigger

Looking forward to the ridiculously small details we'll all analyze.
You got your wish and we've only seen a few seconds from a glimpse of a trailer haha
That's the sequel.this is what the trailer told me.
it will be 10% football and 90% crap with kurt and his family.
the movie will finish after the superbowl win.
The rest of the story where Kurt gets dumped and written off by people in the league then makes a glorious comeback with the shit cardinals, which is even more fascinating and interesting, will not be shown.

Probably a licensing thing, similar to how a lot of movies will slightly change a logo or name. I used to see it all the time with military uniforms, and it's not hard to recreate them perfectly, so who knows.
I'll probably give it a watch, certainly not in theatres, I doubt they'll even have it showing outside of North America, but maybe on a streaming service or something. Looks like they'll probably end the movie with the Super Bowl, which at least means it'll end with us, probably get some sappy ending with real game footage playing right before the credits, so that could be neat.
Warner has said that he likes both franchises equally, and I have not noticed any favoritism. Some of y'all need to fill this out LOL.

Because Warner is a football story, plain and simple. It's a story about Kurt Warner's life from failed NFL QB, journeyman QB, grocery stocker to NFL/SB MVP. What gave you the idea that it would be a movie primarily focused on football and not the story of Kurt Warner?

Meh... It's a football story that made his life interesting, not the other way around.Warner the player vs Warner the man. I'm willing to bet the man himself would say the latter is a far more important story. You can't have the story of the player without the man behind it.
I'm sure there will be enough football in the movie to satisfy fans. Altho it seems impossible to satisfy some fans, period, because we've seen 5 seconds of this movie and you guys are already picking it apart.

The further they gravitate away from football, will make it campier. Hoping I'm wrong but hard to feel moved by that trailer
Football scenes suck without adding the CGI fans in the stands.
Yeah, I think the football scenes will probably look great in the final product. They just look weird for now in that "Behind the Scenes" clip. Couldn't have crowds while filming during Covid, so they'll mostly be CGI. Which is fine, I can barely detect CGI anymore, they're so skilled at it.I am with you. Maybe it is fine once into the flow of the movie?
