Yeah, I think the football scenes will probably look great in the final product. They just look weird for now in that "Behind the Scenes" clip. Couldn't have crowds while filming during Covid, so they'll mostly be CGI. Which is fine, I can barely detect CGI anymore, they're so skilled at it.

Kinda glad the first Baltimore game figures prominently in the story. Gotta admit, I could tell it was gonna be a great year after that very first game. They were special from the beginning.

I don’t know how they add that stuff in and make it all work. Some of those scenes look set up for CGI to be added, others I wasn‘t sure how it will be finished.

The football story? It's a Kurt Warner biopic, not a reimagining of the 1999 St. Louis Rams season.
Kurt Warner's story is a football story. Plain and simple.
If he went from stocking shelves at the Hy-Vee to the worlds best accountant, nobody would watch the movie.
Conversely, if he was single, with no religious faith, his story is still movie worthy.
It's the football, and the 1999 season that made his story special.

Ugh....
Watched the trailer and it reeks of Talia Shire in Rocky III

And G-dam it, why on earth cant they get the uniforms right??? Those numbers on the jerseys look about half the normal size

They probably got them from the Rams official NFL shop. Which sells shit. Seriously man, bought two jerseys in a row and got them with small numbers like that.

Let's hope the football scenes are better on the screen then in the trailer because they did not look IMO, but then again, all of us know what it's supposed to look like.

Dennis Quaid playing Dick Vermeil, I love it, Greg Kinnear played a young Dick Vermeil in Invincible. Quaid a good match for Vermeil IMO.

Are you familiar with the biopic genre? Everyone remembers how Raging Bull was just boxing, right? Why was Pesci even in that movie? The drama and dialog ruined it. 3/10.

Reminds me of the made for TV movies from the 70's/80's. The story deserves better. Mind your follow through Mr. Levi.

Remind me again where in Raging Bull it felt like a Hallmark after school special?
Glad you set the bar at what, 8 Oscar winners?

First thing I noticed on the movie pics. Looks like those kid jerseys the old Sears wishbook! Ugh, couldn't wardrobe get that right?

It's kinda cool that Warner is played by the guy who was Shazam. Though he doesn't really look like him, probably the best actor they could get that comes close. No I wouldn't want Marky Mark, ugh thank the movie gods they didn't get him.

Never!?!

Not one!?!
Okay a little exaggerated.

I did like Return of the King

I should probably add something that I stated in another thread.

I only consider movies great if I can watch them over and over again.

Otherwise they are just good movies.

Very few oscar winning movies after the 80s that I can watch over and over again.

Before the 80s - Patton - I can watch that movie over and over again

IMHO - Avengers Endgame should have won the Oscar for Best Picture

Sorry but Green Book sounds like a movie that I could barely sit through and would never watch again although I do agree with the point of the movie. Plus I would be so pissed off at how that guy was treated.

OK, I get it and I agree.

You are talking about movies like Paul Blart Mall Cop, The Legend of Kung Fu Rabbit and anything starring Carrot Top.

Rolf - Legend of Kung Fu Rabbit and Carrot Top Movies

Now Paul Blart Mall Cop - that was a fun movie

Could only watch it a couple times though so not a great movie - just an above average movie even as stupid as it was

Out of 10 stars - I would give it a 6
