Acting doesn’t overcome lack of athleticism though. Baseball movies that come to mind with a completely awful attempt at looking like an mlber are the cheesy chick flick with Freddie Prinze and Jessica Biel, Michael Okeefe in the Sluggers wife looked like he couldnt even hit a ball off a tee (unless it was a golf ball) much less hit a home run, and the king of terrible performances, the Jimmy Piersal movie with Anthony Perkins was so bad....
Only thing saving Nuke Laloosh from being on the list was that there was a comic effect to his release. Still though, Robbins was terrible

Oh and those who are thinking, “Who the heck watched a Freddie Prinze movie anyway???”, I submit to you Jessica Biel.....View attachment 37219
Never seen or call to see those cheesy 80’s or 90’s movies. Most are horrible casting, writing and directing. Just the name Freddie Prince Jr screams Hollywood trying to hard.

but damn! JessicaBiel was a bad bitch!

As for the guy not being able to throw a football, um, he could just hire a QB coach before filming and work out for a couple weeks, and it would look good for the movie.

Sheen probably had the best pitching motion I’ve seen from Hollywood, I’d give Kevin Costner a very close second

Nope
Best pitching goes to Jimmy Stewart in the Stratton Story

”yeeeaaaah I’m going to have to go ahead and sort of disagree with you there” (sorry but I love that line) :ROFLMAO:

Of course we’re talking pitching motion, Jimmy Stewart looks a little stiff (tho better than many other actors cast in a baseball role that look just awful) as he rocks back to throw, both Sheen and Costner have fluid pitching motion as if they‘ve actually played a lot of baseball at some organized level in their “ yoot“ As least as I see it.

Cheers!

yeeeeaaah I'm going to have to go ahead and negate your Lumbergh on technical grounds :D

I think Costner played some ball at Cal State Fullerton, but fuck Costner - he was my neighbor for a few months, don't want to say anymore. There is also the story of how he refused to move his car for Joe Strummer's wife and yelled at her. So not down with the guy
I am down with Emilio and Repo Man, so you can keep your Chuck Sheen and his tiger blood. So you see, I am biased here.
With that said,

Stewart gets my vote and I'm sticking to it!!!

Well now that you put it in that sense...you make valid points

James Stewart was much, much more of an honorable man than those two could have ever hoped to have been

My question is who will play the Jeff Fisher guy that loses the SB?

just needs to cut his hair a bit and he should be good.

But then we’ll get people complaining, ” but he really doesn’t have the talent to go 7-9! We need a real life person to not act and go 7-9!”

Kurt's noncommittal attitude towards his Rams legacy and his embracing of being a Cardinal has ruined him for me. I will not watch it now because I sorta hate Kurt these days. And I don't care what happened at the end of his time in St Louis with Martz. Others have left the Rams at the end of their careers and came back to embrace the team, like Big O and the Rev Ike. Kurt is dead to me.

Without the Rams there would be no movie about Kurt Warner. It was the Rams that made him famous, so if he wants to deny that and not forgive as the good Christian he claims to be, then he can stick it up his hypocritical ass.

I don't remember Kurt denying he was a part of the GSOT. I've seen him wax nostalgic about that plenty of times.

He just hasn't had much to do with the organization since then.

Yep, he never redeemed himself by coming back to the organization as one who wanted to be remembered as a Ram. We wanted to welcome him back in the worst way, but he's a Cardinal now, so eff him.

Not good enough. He needs to have a Rams tattoo on his face, and wear his 99 Super Bowl jersey 24/7, and also talk about how great St. Louis was and also Morph into a full-on Ram animal or else he will remain dead to me
