It's bush league for Boise State to run the ball when they are losing? I saw some bush league shit. It was the cheap shot the Penn State defender put on Jeanty.
Yeah, it was bush league. On both counts.

The kid is awesome. He's a threat to break one every time he touches the ball. It's just a lot tougher against legit competition.

And PSU was keying on Jeanty because he is their offense. Take him out of the equation and their offense isn't dangerous. You don't think PSU should have been doing that?

Tyler Warren is a beast and mismatch, he would likely upgrade us more than Jeanty and I love Jeanty
Local kid made good. He was a QB in HS. I believe Rams go CB or WR/TE with their 1st round pick next year. Warren looks like a top 15 pick so he’d likely be gone.

Great defensive game plan by PSU.

Jeanty had 30 carries for 104 yards (3.5 / att) and added another 22 on 3 receptions.
He had 4 negative carries, 17 others that went from 0 to 3 yards. 6 went for 4 to 7 and 3 for 10 or more (10, 12, 26).

Impressive performance vs an excellent running back.

Of course they were right to key in on him. No, I don't think it's bush league for a team to run the ball while trailing. It is certainly a lot tougher when you're playing a team with significantly more talent than yours. No doubt about that.

First time I've seen Warren. I've heard a lot of good things about him.

To me he seemed slow and not just slow running, but slow footed as far as able to quickly move his feet.
Looked like a decent run blocker and seemed bright in his interviews.

On the other hand he is a mismatch for safeties and even LBs because of his size.

How good he'll be in the NFL, I don't know - others can try to figure that out.
I looked at some tape of Fannin and his feet look much quicker than Warren. More of a TE with some WR "wiggle".

Jeanty is a beast to my eyes. His ability to break tackles is first rate and then has ability to out run people.
Didn't do it tonight because P.S. has way more athletic players than Boise.
Boise has one (maybe 2/3) NFL player, P.S. has 8 or 9 on defense alone. He was met by 4/5 guys on every play.

That wasn't running the ball while trailing. Every game I've ever watched, a team down with 2 minutes left to go, passes the ball. If there's 30 or 40 seconds left they may hand off once and let the clock run out, so there are no additional injuries in a game completely settled. He ran the ball 5 times in the hurry up and then they passed a couple. Bush is the wrong word (I've slept on it ):laugh1:That was a head coach trying to get his star the record because there was no chance to come back. I'm just glad he didn't get it in that manner. Like Dieter said, it sucked he being allowed to break Sanders record with a bowl game included when Barry's bowl game didn't count. It would have been worse doing it in the final 2 minutes with a 17 point deficit. But the football gods prevailed.

Is he a talent? Absolutely. But the competition he faced was limited. He had a good game vs Oregon (#33 vs the run) and UNLV (#22) the second time around. In the first game they held him to 3.9 YPC. The next best vs the run was San Jose (#62), then Hawaii (#92) and WSU (#96). The other 7 weren't in the top 100. He met a top team last night (#7 D; #7 vs the run) and it showed. Not only was he held under 3 yards on 21 of his 30 carries, he fumbled twice. I'd draft him but those 374 carries (600 the last 2 years) worry me a bit.

I thought it was just me. I've watched this game and parts of others and given his size and hype I was expecting to see the next Gronkowski. But he looked slower and less fluid. Good player. Would help the Rams. But, I just cant get excited about him like I was with Bowers last year.

First good defense Jeanty has played against and it was obvious that Boise State did not measure up. It is hard for me to respect this team because they play the likes of Wyoming, Nevada, UNLV & the Rainbow Warriors of Hawaii. Give me a break, plus that blue field pisses me off every time I see it.

Boise State cannot move to better conferences because that university does not offer Graduate Programs. That is why they have not been able to move to the PAC12 several years ago or other conferences too. Hopefully they will adjust the seeding next year because that team did not deserve a bye, however, they did play with heart I will give them that, but it was obvious they were not on the same level IMHO.

Looking forward to seeing Cam Skattebo play here in a few minutes. Not sure how he will do against a tough Texas team and game could get away from AZ State fast

Skattebo is one of my favorite players to watch, he runs as hard as any player I have seen in a very long time

They spotted them a 14 pt lead. Could be an issue where these bye teams get off to slow starts since they haven't played in a month, while the non bye teams played 10-12 days ago.

He's over 20lbs heavier than Kyren, 1 inch taller, and runs the forty basically same speed as Kyren in the 4.6 range. Seems like a stud!

He has so much heart, throwing TD's running like a beast catching bombs. Pure football player, who wouldn't want that on your team

250+ against a top D as we sit
