Jake Paul vs. Tyson set for July 20 on Netflix
Mike Tyson will face Jake Paul in a boxing match July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in the main event of a card that will air on Netflix, officials told ESPN.
If its a work like the Roy Jones bullshit, that truly would tarnish his legacy I think.Tyson may be agreeable to an exhibition type match, but that jackass Paul will try and knock Tyson out. And that will prove to be a BIG mistake
I cant believe it's been 4 years since the "fight" against Roy Jones, Tyson looked pretty ripped for that one
This will not be a "real" fight. It'll be a nice payday for Tyson, and another attempt to legitimize Paul. I dislike him, but he understands his marketability. Even his haters will tune in hoping he gets his ass kicked.
What a stupid fucking thing to say.Not anymore...for two reasons...
1) This is a real fight, not an exhibition. It will go on their actual records.
2) Unlike the Roy Jones fight where he and Tyson seemed to have a gentleman's agreement not to go headhunting (also, it was an exhibition), Tyson has no deal with Jake Paul. And then... Jake Paul says this... "I'm going go bury him next to his daughter"
Ummm, WTF?
Mike Tyson's daughter passed at 4 years old. As someone who's also lost a child, you can't know or even extrapolate what that feels like or estimate how it would change you. While there has been some doubt about whether Jake Paul said it, his apology video seems to confirm it.
Thing is, Mike Tyson doesn't forget. People think he's a meathead because of his lisp and honestly, being a pretty bad person when he was young (I mean pre-adult specifically), but he can recount the history of boxing from memory like few others... ever. He is legit a boxing history encyclopedia and knows the sport like few others ever have in the history of the sport. It's really something else to hear him talk about the old days of boxing like in the 20s and 30s or even pre-1900.
Anyway, Jake Paul made the fatal error of not only invoking Tyson's dead daughter, but using her to talk shit
Jake Paul is gonna find out the hard way why that's a bad idea.
That was what I remembered most about the early career of Tyson. The guy was a boxing junkie. A real student of the game. Cus wouldn't have it any other way.but he can recount the history of boxing from memory like few others... ever.

I hate both of them too. During a face off one of them pulled off Mayweather's cap and ran away with it like a pussy! The bodyguards grabbed him and he was like okay okay. What a punk. I wanted one of them to just jack him. Please kick this punk's fucking ass, Mike. And then kick his brother's ass.
I hate both Paul brothers. They're the scum of the earth.
True words. If Cus D’Amato had lived longer, so much would have been different

almost? It will be interesting to see Tyson at 58. Dude's almost as old as me.
Hopefully it won't be a huggy snooze fest.
I hope you're right. The skeptic in me still has my doubts. I haven't payed any attention to the build up. Paul might be buying into his hype too much. We'll see.Not anymore...for two reasons...
