Under Chuck Knox the Rams would have won multiple Super Bowls and would have been the team of the decade.
I think so too. A young Gabriel could play today...

Nice pornstache Roman.

Cheerleading certainly has evolved hasn’t it? Those Chargers cheerleaders made me think it was a high school game.

Gabriel and the horns hooked me into the rams in 1971.

Loved Roman he was a God and at 6-7 years of age in 1973 was devastated when they traded Gabriel to the Eagles and were going for the bald, dumpy John Hadl. Taking nothing away from Hadl's accomplishments, but he did not look the part and Roman sure did.

Chuck Know would have wasted Roman somewhat - he wasn't known for Ground Chuck for nothing.

But yeah I think we would have at least made it to the Super Bowls a couple times

I somewhat disagree, in 73 the offense was high flying, however, they lost in the playoffs to the Cowboys because of the turnovers and I believe that changed Knox moving forward. Hadl's first pass in that playoff game in 73 was intercepted, with Gabriel in his prime, IMO, Knox would not have wasted him because Knox never had a QB of that magnitude.

They were high among the reasons I became a Ram fan in the late 60's.
The Coliseum with a Roman playing there. Snow in L.A.? A Deacon. A wizard (Merlin). A truck at G (Mack). The Fearsome Foursome....probably the best nickname for a group of players in NFL history.
Plus it helped I lived between NYC and Philly so we got all the major stations from both cities. I got to watch 4 NFL games every Sunday (well 2 NFL; 2 AFL), if I was energetic enough to get up to switch the channel. Usually the late game was the Rams or SF; the Raiders, Chargers or Broncos. It was practically NFL Ticket in the 60's.
But for sure, Roman Gabriel and Jack Snow (same first name as I) were my favorites.
I wish RG played for Knox.

The dynamic dou teamed with the Fearsome Foursome is what hooked me too.

Loved Roman and the D but Snow was my childhood idol.

Gabriel to Snow... touchdown! That was my childhood mantra. I was Gabriel, of course... my best friend was Snow. That was the reason why I wanted to play QB in high school. Unfortunately, my fat un-athletic brother went 2 years before me, so the coaches probably thought I was also going to be a scrub. It really didn't matter anyway... back in those days all the high school football teams did was run the triple option. Very little passing back then.

... hijack this thread... Great voices in that video too. Pat Summerall (5:30 mark and others) was throughout.

Anyone recognize other voices and time stamp on the video? I’d go back just to match name to voices.

Awesome watch.
