It's fair to call Goff elite now

Game winning drive. Perfect pass for TD. Just another box checked for Jared on the way to becoming one of the elite QB's of the league. The only thing that concerned me was he was almost too good. They scored pretty quick and gave KC time.

yeah my son and i were discussing this when they were marching down the field. we thought they were making too many yards too quickly. but then we agreed it's better to score a td and be in the lead than to face 3rd downs when you need a td to win the game.

I dunno about anyone else, but I’ve been saying this for the past 5 weeks or more.

There was a thread many weeks ago and I was one of the few to UNEQUIVOCALLY say that Goff is elite even then.

Just glad this isn’t or shouldn’t be a question anymore.

Your not the only one Bro. I backed him his rookie year as having Elite skills with no surrounding cast. And kept making the case last year that he was playing better than Wentz in all stats except for TD passes, making the point that the lower TD’s is only because Mcvay handed it to Gurley in the Red zone so much.

But there is a difference between proving to the NFL that you are Elite and as i put it having an Elite Trajectory that hasn’t been shown yet.

This game helped Goff convince some haters but until he has some pressure playoff games like this, he still has to prove his Elite status to the NFL.

Well, if any talking heads or anyone in the NFL doesn't get that Goff is elite, then that's their ignorance.

By every metric from Scoreboard to stats, Goff has proven he's elite.

Since the start of the 2017 season, NO QB has a better record than Goff.

At this point, anyone not acknowledging that Goff is ALREADY elite is embracing willful ignorance.

Really no other way to put it, harsh as that sounds.

Jared Goff has been a sight to behold this season. You can talk scheme all you want, but the fact of the matter is that Goff has the most big-time throws of any quarterback this season (29). Those are throws that require special ball placement and timing down the field and there’s no scheme that can ‘fake’ them.

So, let's say:

1. With the fairly easy schedule ahead, Goff throws a ton of TDs and catches up to Mahomes total TDs.

2. Rams win out and go 15-1.

3. Saints lose a game, finish 14-2 and #2 seed.

4. Head to Head, Rams beat out Chiefs.

Now who gets the MVP? Goff?

Brees gets the sympathy vote for never having won one. Voters know Goff will have more chances in the future so he gets passed over.
