Too bad our QB can’t keep up with St. Patty.

No...I didn't say it's Goffs' failure. I said "if the offense sustains that drive..." In fact...I simply didn't like the play call in that series.
When it comes to Goff I simply say there's more I need to see before I consider him elite.
Call it whatever you like, (whether its the offense or Goff), an expectation of 6 consecutive scoring drives, on the road, while trailing, is completely irrational. The offense more than did its job, led by Goff. The defense? They allowed the game to be out of reach

I think you dudes are over-nuking this and digging in on either side way more than is needed. The defense failed at the end, and so did the offense to complete the comeback. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

If the defense was a little bit better we would have won that game. If Goff had been sharp there at the end we would have won that game. What matters is that moment in time where the outcome of the game hangs in the balance. On both sides of the ball we lost.

That was a huge win for New Orleans. They won that game in crunch time on both sides of the ball.

Well Merlin, I agree with you...BUT...this is going back and forth because I don't think Goff is in elite status as a QB and they do.
I think Goff is excellent and on the rise, but I'm not ready to put him up there with Rodgers, Brady, Brees, Rivers. I need to see him perform more in big games and pressure situations. Besides, it's only his 3rd year.
Those who think Goff is elite want to debate on it. That's how we got to this point.
I have no delusions about the Rams defense. With the young secondary and LBs against teams like the Saints and tonight the Chiefs, the offense needs to be sharp because the defense is gonna give up points until those guys get some games under their belts.
No need to rush Goff to elite status. He has what it takes to get there.

I feel the same. He's still a young'un with a long way to go. More focused on enjoying him establish himself as an elite QB in this year's playoffs than crowning him now. But hey, to each his own.

Feel free to show a game where the "Elite QB" came back to win from 21 points down on 6 consecutive scoring drives

That is a very difficult and specific thing to search for. Maybe it's happened, who knows. But I am not interested in pursuing that particular argument with you because neither of us are going to change our opinion on the matter, and also because I am not interested in taking a side that goes out of its way to criticize our QB. Cheers man. (y)

Its not an argument, its just being ignored because it doesn't fit the narrative.
If an offense or a QB needs to have 6 straight scoring drives to be considered "Elite", I'm thinking there's a very short list of guys on it. If any at all

Lets just beat the snot out of KC tonight so we are all happy

Edit. Goof was a typo. I would never. But, I fixed it! lol

Legit MVP candidate. He was abused and shaky at points in this game, but he hung in there and put this team on his back.

Goff was very clutch tonight. He was awesome with his accuracy and his ability to shake off some of the sacks and keep in control. The last drive was awesome because he made several throws that only his guy could make the catch. Just crazy good.

He got rattled a little bit at times i thought - mostly from getting hit.

But the last drive when it was do or die - he did.
