The Commodes have $90M in cap space and could use a veteran presence. Probably won't get much in return, but I could see them being interested. Now, do the Rams trade him to an NFC contender?
I'd trade him to wherever he wanted to go provided that team was offering reasonably competitive compensation.

It's a business which is why I expected this, but I feel they owe him that much.

634 catches, 7776 yards, 57 TD. 3rd, 4th and 3rd most in Rams history.

Another 56 catches, 742 yards, 7 TD in the postseason. 1st, 2nd, and 1st.

Man I’d love for Coop to end up with Herbert and Harbaugh. I do NOT want him wasting away in some hellhole like Tennessee or Jacksonville.

I'm getting a bit tired of that "taking less" thing. Got fleeced on Ramsey and about to get fleeced on Kupp. 2 HOF level players leaving our roster nonetheless.

Sure, the guy balled out for us. Going forward, we should do what makes the team better. Kupp is gonna get paid either way. He'll not suffer much.
When the trade is a salary dump the value of the player is eroded. It also was the case with Cooks. Rams will eat that value in exchange to get out from under the salary.

This trade is similar to Ramsey in that both were not quite what they were and the end is looming, but probably still do have value, the Rams just won't get the full current value back due to the dump.

Agreed. He might get another title under Harbaugh. Just hope he can stay healthy, that's his biggest problem. Guys like him who are great with the option routes and being so smart on the field... That can buy time where they're effective longer than they should be. He just has to maybe run out of bounds a bit more and try to get to the playoffs so he can beast.

If this backfires, and they get no one notable in FA to help Puka/Def we will be 5-12 6-11. Then its safe to say Snead and Mcvay should be fired. There has to be big reason to auto kick Kupp to the curb after all hes done.

If we go all in, and win a Super Bowl next year, it would sting less! We would loved to do it again with Kupp!

I think we all hate to see Kupp go as Ram fans, but it is the nature of the business. It sucks, I just hope they trade him to a team in the AFC and not the Chiefs.

Is it though? I respect your opinion! If we have another 2022 season on our hands, everyone will be on here bitching and calling for thier heads! Just like earlier this year when we were 1-4 and I kept saying we were a playoff team. Most didnt listen. Most wanted to out Shula too in his first 2 games.

They aren't gonna get much for him. Its all about cap relief. And I doubt its to free up money for a guy like Tee Higgins. He's gonna command a 30 mil plus deal. They will need a WR2 to pair with Puka. Would not be surprised if they bring back Robinson on another one year deal. Don't see Tutu as a legit WR2. I do see them drafting a receiver somewhere in the first two days of the draft.

Yes, I think it is.
Don't always agree with when ... and, especially HOW ... the Rams cut-bait with players but this is a high-quality football organization that gets a lot right; and generally gets the best performance out of the Team.

I respect your opinion!
As a general rule, I try to not over-react ... positively or negatively. There are exceptions.

I thought they did not get enough for Ramsey. Hated the Ernest Jones trade. Posted about both.
Have posted several times that I didn't think the 2025 cap savings of trading or releasing Kupp were sufficiant enough to mover-on this off-season. 2026 ... Yes.

If we have another 2022 season on our hands,
That was a disaster due to injury. Almost every season, there are one or two teams that are so badly hit with injuries, they have NO Realistic Chance to be successful.

everyone will be on here bitching and calling for thier heads!
Fans over-react ... good and bad. Their emotions can make some Great fans fucking stupid.

Just like earlier this year when we were 1-4 and I kept saying we were a playoff team.
Feel free to check some posts when the Rams were 1-3 and 1-4.
There were a number of posters (including me) that pushed-back on the extreme negativity. If you were one, good for you for showing some sound perspective.

Most didnt listen. Most wanted to out Shula too in his first 2 games.
I don't know that I agree with ... "most".
