If I'm not mistaken you can restructure a player as many times as you/they want. While I know it's kicking the can down the road I don't mind it with young players like Ramsey.
The issue won't be if we can or cannot afford von and Obj. Demoff Snead and Mcvay have shown a propensity to make some tough calls and get what they want. See Saffold!!

That said I believe it will be ultimately up to obj what's best for his family and new kid on the way. Most money possible which a team like the Chiefs who need him or biggest worry and I said this way back a real threat the chargers as that would keep him rooted and in the same stadium. Then it comes down to actual organization stability atmosphere and relationships. So it will be interested.

You win the Super Bowl. Whit would probably retire. Stafford might then be open to signing a backloaded extension. You then pay OBJ! :thumbsup1:

I agree ... but we still need an offensive line whether we resign some or sign others as well as a cornerback opposite Ramsey don't think Rochelle is ready yet and of course Von. I posted a couple of times how the Rams can free up enough money to do everything they need. I will see if I can find it again.

If Whit retires most of the cap space he vacates will probably go to Boom. So that whole left side question looks a lot clearer just knowing it's likely Whit's retired.

The work that has to get done is the interior of the OL. We gotta be better in there if we want to get back to games like this on a routine basis. This division isn't going anywhere.

Yea agreed and Stafford won't be getting younger while he is one tough s.o.b. you want to minimize the contact. I'd be ok with Corbett at a good price but would love a great all around road grading center.....man creed would of been perfect lol.i/ I know I know we know all tutu well we should have taken Creed. Lol

OBJ's girl lives out here in LA. That was one of the big reasons he chose LA apparently was to be closer to her. Plus him and Von are close friends. There are a lot of variables but I don't think he'd want to leave given how McVay has resurrected his career. And all his production is coming without an off-season and not really getting a grasp of the full offense. I guess it just comes down to what contract we can negotiate. Wish we already got it done because every game that goes by his price goes up.

They didn't trade for Michel not to re-sign him. Akers and Michel are a good combo. Akers on early downs and Michel on 3rd downs and short yardage. Henderson is too fragile. I like him but he's always hurt. Henderson has an affordable contract in 2022 and he's a FA in 2023 so I see him simply staying. With Akers, Michel, Henderson, and Funk they look set at RB.

Michel likes it in LA so if he's offered a reasonable contract I see him taking it. Also, this team will continue to be a SB contender so that is an incentive for all the FAs like Michel, OBJ, and Miller. Good team culture and a legit SB contender are strong incentives.

Couldn't agree more that's why kc would try and over pay but he has made his money the only team or teams I think could pose a threat are for sure the Chargers and 2nd the whiners as plan C. Ugh I hate even saying that. I agree though I'm in NY so ve gotten to see a lot of his career and I have never seen him this happy serene just simply at peace. He needs to be back. Kim Jones was one of the few people/reporters that got to see that side of Obj along with his kindness and sense of humor and she called it when everyone was destroying him from NY to Cleveland she said that's not the obj she knows and basically in so many words don't believe everything you hear. Now everyone gets to see it. Some of it might be maturity but he is just happy. Let's hope it gets done dude.

Technically neither is Tutu lol
You're wrong I see Tutu contributing from the sidelines every game.

Tutu will get a ring as will every one on the IR when the Rams win.

So will the cheerleaders that @MachS posted and the custodial engineers they have definitely contributed more.

I am just joking but only reason I brought up creed was because we were discussing money on the offensive line and keeping Obj. Tutu will get his opportunity at some point. I would not be shocked if we traded Van and tutu took his spot and Kupp Trees and Obj we're our main 3 with Harris and Ben as back ups.

I absolutely love love Jefferson I wanted him in the draft but with the season he had and the experience he is gaining and his rookie deal he could easily and should net a 2nd or maybe more. There are all sorts of outcomes for now I just want to chip.

Yea I've been thinking about that too, because we really got unlucky with 3 WRs going down for the year. Bobby Trees, Harris, and Tutu. Skow, Van, Harris, and Tutu are all young. It's really hard for me to believe we keep Woods and OBJ with all the young talent that needs to develop. It would be great, but doesn't logically make sense to me given how much money those starting three would require, plus the four young WRs behind them. Trading Van makes some sense to clear targets, but he's still on his rookie deal and it's not very efficient to do that. We absolutely need to invest some money in our OL this off-season. Allen, Corbett, or some other FA for sure.

Some think there's a chance we keep Woods and OBJ, at this point I'm really starting to doubt that. Trading Woods means eating $12M in dead money, when his cap hit is $15M. So might as well keep Woods for the $3M. Maybe we don't resign OBJ as much as I hate that thought. We didn't trade assets to get him, and unless he takes a very small salary I think it's more important to resign Von. OLB is so important in our defense, we need people to take the pressure off AD not to mention the two picks we gave up for him.

Where it gets difficult is if you cut woods post June 1st you save 10.7 million. So that's where it gets tricky.
With these young receivers you can trade van and have one of the other 3 take his spot. Maybe trade van for a lineman. It's hard trust mean I don't want to trade van or see trees gone some tough calls will need to be made. Let's win this chip and then prepare for another crazy off-season.
We definitely need to win this game though or then everything shot to hell!

You are right about Creed Humphrey, he could have saved us a lot of grief financially, and now we may need to decide between whether Allen or Corbett can stick with the team going forward.

No way I trade Jefferson, he's got two years left on his contract, is very inexpensive, and still developing into a solid player. Young, inexpensive quality players is exactly what teams up against the CAP wall want.

When it comes to potentially tradable players, I'm more inclined to look at Henderson, Rapp, Hekker & my more controversial choice, Robert Woods.

Solid but currently expensive players whose contracts are ripe for 2022 CAP savings would mean extending Stafford, Havenstein & A'Shawn Robinson asap.

Whitworth will imo be retiring, so an additional 2022 CAP savings of $12/$13 mil.

Rams players scheduled to enter free agency following this season that I wish to retain are :
1) Von Miller
2) Noteboom
3) OBj
4) At least one of Brian Allen or Austin Corbett
5) Sony Michel

jmo.

I agree with that list exactly probably want Corbett we would be searching for a center and a cornerback opposite Jalen.

I will say what do you really think Allen can demand or get on the open market? I don't think he will be to expensive he doesn't have that rep yet. He may be a short deal type no?
