You know I like somethings & dislike others.

1.Just basic examples of what I didn’t like. Cory Littleton not getting a locked in contract when he deserved it.Just look back at when he was making the transition from All Pro special teams type player to MLB.Mcvay(Bones) has him doing everything. He he never got a worthy contract. His body from Baylor always pushed him as well.-Fun to watch.

2.Gurley getting an early contract was not right imo. The Rams held Aaron Donald our twice before his contract.

3. Sullivan getting cut,as Whitworth said was hurt.If so then then The Rams needed a quality Guard.Which has NEVER been said through all the debates(post) with me. Corbett trade proves that, but know one wants to look back at that. That is on McSnead.Finding Corbett & starting Blythe where he should have been all a long. Never liked the Brian Allen pick.

Cutting Clay Matthews to me was a mistake. He brought a veteran pass rush that can’t be taught. I know a lot of fans think differently, but he & Aaron Donald played well off each other.Yes Fowler was to expensive & Robinson has been hurt. The Rams got lucky to get Brokers back, but for 2 years? Terrel Lewis was a Excellent Find though.

My point being is Veteran Leadership is Huge & bring young guys in is what is special. I like the combination, but respect the Old FA signings. Clay deserved to be a Ram when SOFI opened. He is a local guy.

Pissed I didn’t have Bills game recorded, because my take would have been different. Can’t even tell what the Offensive Line looked like.

Happy Sunday- Go Rams!!
Cory Littleton is really doing terrible with the Raiders.

I'm not sure if he's a bad scheme fit there or what the problem is, really.

I seriously hope he plays well today.Lol.

I like Micah Kiser & think he he a Prototype MLB.The cover skill are totally different.I’m not going to say I The Rams didn’t make the right move there either, because of the Comp Pick.

I’m a will be a big fan of Corey‘s today & hope he plays well the rest of the season. What an excellent special teams player.

I’ll stick with the O”Line & see if Henderson can go again off today.
Keep Jared Standing Up.

He has not been a good fit there so far. A couple close friends are Raider fans so I was at least excited he went to a team I somewhat follow. Littleton was one of my favorite Rams - he really worked to be where he is.

There has been some hints that it's the defense putting him out of position.

IMO Littleton is a chase backer. Outside and weakside in a 4-3 is where he should be IMO.

Haven't looked to see where the Raiders are playing him but if it's in the middle he will do the same BS he did with us.

It's funny how sometimes team boards know more about players than teams signing them in FA. :ROFLMAO:

Cant say the run blocking was all that great on Sunday, held to 58 yards rushing by a defense that had given up 370 yards (123 per game) in its first 3 games.
Passing wasnt that much better with only 200 yards (55 on one play) against a D that had given up 762 yards (254 per game) in the first 3.

All in all it just looked like a "going thru the motions" type of game. But I'd be lying if I didnt admit that I was worried that the o-line was resembling the 2019 version

after last season what were you going to do with Corey? He outplayed his contract. Rams will get a Comp pick from him. Glad the Raiders liked Joyner so much as well .

After the issues with going with a zero NFL starts, @ the starting center in Brian Allen...... I did not believe that Snead & his Ram cadre were interested in investing more valuable limited 2020 draft selection in another inexperienced center to start in 2020.

It wasn’t so much about Brian Allen as it was Austin Blythe. At what point was Allen going to start over Blythe.
Brian Allen was a surprised pick for me. I don’t know what Kromer saw in him, except for his family background. It’s sort of like Aaron Donald story from a scouting standpoint. Both being undersized, but workouts warriors with a excellent wrestling background.

As you have pointed out before Austin Blythe was not close to being healthy in 2019. He had issues with both shoulders & battled a high ankle sprain since the 2nd game of 2019. He only missed basically less than 2 games with all that.

Presently Rams starting center Blythe has a PFF rating-out as the 10th best center in the NFL. It very possible that this new Ram interior starting setup OL will continue to improve as they learn to work together.

This will be Edwards 3rd game in a row as the starting LG. Edwards started 2 gms @ LG before being forced to flip to the starting right OG for the rest of the season. This 2nd yr OG Edwards should get better as the season moves on. Austin Corbett who started @ LG for 7 gms last season has now started 4 gms @ RG & like Edwards should be sitting in with working with Hav on that right side.

Now back onto center Blythe...yes he has physical limitations that will always challenge him in the NFL particularly going up against large strong NT's. But he is a known commodity with very good smarts & is a true team player. A former WWC who Kromer wanted & likes. Blythe will have his hands full going up against two very good NT types in former Bama's top DT & former #1 draft pick in Daron Payne & Tim Settle.

A guy I’ve seen people recently lament us not getting in the draft.

But players on the Oline take time to develop. Isn’t that what everyone here says? Can’t have it both ways.

I’d have chosen Cushenberry and either play him at guard or let him learn. If you can’t get a first or early second round talent at Center it’s not likely that he will be plug and play in his first year. They’d probably would have been better off if they could play him at guard to start.

if I had it my way the Rams would have drafted a center in 2019 or 2018. He’d be ready by now. I preferred Elgton Jenkins or Erik McCoy instead of Rapp.

Is it me though or does Blythe and Havenstein consistently appear to be the weakest links in pass protection?

good info - the Whitworth post game video was excellent if you haven’t seen it. He is such a HOFer both on & off the field. He had CoVid after Allen, and hasn’t missed a beat.

Yeah, the draft is one of the pathways teams acquire players, and OL is something you generally have to get ahead of, relative to other positions.

Blythe has no penalties this year and only three in his entire career.

I can't recall a bad snap or any other miscues.

He's a Pro's Pro. :)

I think you are correct.

Hav will see a heavy dose of 6-4 270lbs Ryan Kerrigan who has some good inside moves that might cause Hav some issues. Not sure how much DE Chase Young will play this Sunday being hurt. DE 6-6-260 lbs Montez Sweet should not be a problem for Hav even if he flips back & forth from Right to left. He just too lean to be able to handle a 6-8 330 plus RT regularly.
