We were saying we needed a FREAKIN CENTER. See him now start for the Kansas City Chiefs (Creed Humphreys)If you were rewound 8 months nobody on this board would be saying we need a running back with our second round pick and not a speedy threat receiver lol
Akers missed 2 games in 3 years at FSUDoesn't take rocket science to predict a injury to Akers/Henderson based of last year alone. Both are injury prone.
That. If we had acquired at least one interior road grader I'd be much less worried about what RB we don't have.We were saying we needed a FREAKIN CENTER. See him now start for the Kansas City Chiefs (Creed Humphreys)
Would have been a HUUUUUUGEEEEE reach and waste of resources to draft a RB this year!

Homer!!It’s obvious the Rams need another vet RB (or 2) for depth/insurance but why don’t we wait to hear a report before over reacting every time someone gets dinged.
He's missed more games in the NFL than he's played. What happened in college is irrelevant.Akers missed 2 games in 3 years at FSU

He missed 3 games and played in 15. What kind of math are you using? LolHe's missed more games in the NFL than he's played. What happened in college is irrelevant.

That was my take last year. But he has now missed significant time a second year in a row.Akers missed 2 games in 3 years at FSU
I said all along I wanted Creed Humphrey and that he would be a legit starter. Felt he would have helped stabilize our line big time. Disappointing to see that coming to fruition if our center position doesn't pan out and if Tutu has a minimal impact. Hope it all works out but we'll see.We were saying we needed a FREAKIN CENTER. More reason they should have drafted a center vs not. I hate hearing the win now as an excuse (not calling you out by the way, just saying in general) for not trying to develop talent. True professional teams should always have an eye on win now AND developing talent. I ask all, doesn't it take time for WRs (*cough, like Tutu) more than a year to develop but it's ok cuz we really don't need him because we have great WR depth? Creed would be in the same boat at worst. We'll see if the Rams made the right call.I was one who clamored for a center throughout the draft season. I was disappointed they passed on Humphreys. But before I say I was right I'd like to see how he does when the real games start. Earning a starting position is nice, but if it was because the other centers really sucked it won't be so impressive.
I've also been saying I do understand their reasoning. They're all in for this season. They want to win now. A 2nd round pick might improve them but it also might take time. Not to mention they have guys they've been developing and they weren't convinced a rookie would be the better option. We'll have to wait and see if Allen really did improve.
That said I certainly hope they address the position next draft.
