It’s obvious the Rams need another vet RB (or 2) for depth/insurance but why don’t we wait to hear a report before over reacting every time someone gets dinged.

Each time a RB goes down I feel bad for Stafford. The guy never had a good one in Detroit now he comes here and they all get knocked out. The new RB will need to quickly learn the system and at least one of the quartet needs to be able to block sometimes. Not in panic mode but I have have a shitty feeling about this.

Is he? Kind of a decent size track record for injuries for a young guy. Some already wanted another body added to the RB room and this just reinforces that. And yes Rapsheet saying it's a sprain not seeing it anywhere else though.

It might be a sprain this time. But during the season how many times will he get knocked out of a game? How many games will he be limited due to nursing an injury? How many games will he miss?

If Les doesn't address that position and the backups fail miserably, it will be open season on him with people second guessing his decision not to pick up an established veteran. Maybe the guys available are no longer the explosive 5 yards per carry guys anymore. But every snap they play will reduce the chances of Henderson missing too many games.

Adrian Peterson definitely ain't what he used to be but he's had over 600 carries the past 3 years. And he's missed only one game. His YPC was 4.2, 4.3 and 3.9 during that time. Not great but better than Bell and Gurley. He also scored 17 TD.s the past 3 years. I'm sure by now he's learned how to pass protect on blitzes. If Henderson has 15 carries per game while Peterson has 10-12 with the other backups the rest, it could keep Henderson healthy enough for a late season run and the playoffs.

If you couldn’t see that both of the Rams two main starters were injured and missed significant time last year, you weren’t paying attention. A few of us were hoping they’d pick another runningback for insurance if not sign a vet.
