It's a no win situation for defensive players. The QBs are definitely over protected. The NFL has cast its lot with making QBs the marquis players of most teams. But, they are also the most fragile. Even marginal late hits or high hits get called for penalties. It's a joke sometimes.

Agree actually. He was pulling away. How early do you have to withdraw to let those QB's get away with that slide? I think if you're making an effort not to hit him that's good enough.
