I think there is fatigue coming into play again. Howie Long brought it up. How the heck can the league schedule 4 east coast games in the first 8 weeks?

When I saw they were playing the Dolphins 100% assumed they were at home.

103 rushing yards on 20 rushing plays, 5.15 yards per carry. 32 pass plays...116 yards, 3.62 yards per pass, goff under 50 percent and has 4 turnovers...yet we are abandoning the run

Seriously, am I going crazy or something...

That is positively Martz-ian.

Everett was wide open there.

Some QB's just see the field well - Goff has a great arm and can be very accurate when he is in rythm but he still at this point in his career doesn't see the field well.

Yup when he rolled out to the right he had Everett wide open in the middle. A few plays earlier he missed Kupp for the TD too. Then the miss to Woods on the 3rd down that people here will call a "throw away" but was another overthrow.

Honestly think Walford should get a shot on a day like today but McVay doesn't have the balls to do that b/c it could shatter Goff's confidence even more.

Flores is giving it to McVay today no doubt about it, just like he did in the SB. But there have been plays to be made and Goff has missed most of them. 4 TOs with a clean dropped INT which would have made 5 tho is pretty fucking nuts for one half.

It isn’t fatigue when you’re stubbornly calling passes when your run game is working so well. It’s stupidity is what it is.

McVay has gotten his ass kicked today by Flores. But even with that... The bigger prob is our QB has four turnovers and should have six or more.

IMO one of the problems is quit speeding up the pre-snap reads. The hurry-up and all that can contribute to the QB missing a protection call. Slow it down, keep that run game balance and hope our QB can win this game for us.

I still believe in Goff but he's played like a fucking pile of shit today.

no he doesn’t. He’s Kirk cousins.
Lol I wonder where you were when Goff was red hot? Roflmao. I assume if he comes back from the bye week slinging it, you'll go back under a rock. Its odd how Goff is the only quarterback in the NFL not allowed to have a bad game. Aaron Rodgers stinks it up against Tampa, you guys forget. Wentz wins a couple games, you guys forget. Dak has gaudy numbers and yet zero results, you guys forget. But you remember every turnover Goff has. You want to say Goff doesn't handle pressure well? Fine. I'll even agree that he's played like dog shit today. But lets stop acting like Goff didn't just throw for a 69% completion percentage with a win against a good defense last game. He's a pocket QB, protect him and see results. Don't protect him, and his bad day can get much worse.

Above average QB's that are consistent are not in abundance, Elite QB's are not in abundance. That is a luxury most wish they had. And Goff is an above average QB. More like Matt Ryan than Kirk Cousins.

What a strange first half. I hope McVay is giving them a bollocking and we see a reaction in the second half like we did in Buffalo.

Hendo, Akers, and Brown are each averaging 6 yds a pop.

100 yards on the ground at halftime.

Goff needs to handoff more and only try deep passes on 2nd and short.

Maybe run then, too.

As bad as this shits been.... I totally think they can crawl back. Just have to do it. A second half Jalen Ramsey sighting could be huge for us

Yeah me too, we can still run the ball heavily. A lot of football left and our defense was great and they always play even better in second half. They just need to adjust and use what works.

Rams can still win this but they will have to play mistake free football in the second half. Dolphins are playing very physical today.

Side note ever since superbowl 53 I can't stand Van Noy.

Are we wiining yet?
Nope but it sounds like from this thread we need to fire McVay and perma bench Goff because neither are good enough for the NFL. More to come stay tuned.

Goff had someone open on the backside in the endzone on 2nd down but didn't see him.

Either way 28-10 is doable for us in the second half if special teams can quit giving up big plays and the offense can settle down. Jared's gonna need to win this game for us dudes. The run game is not going to win this we need the QB.

Doable for some, today not so much....."come-on man"......:poop:

Mcvay better be throwing stuff left right and center and reading them the godamn riot act
That stuff means nothing to pros and means nothing when the team is being outschemed.
When your blocking 6 rushers with 5 blockers is not lack of effort causing the issue.

Why do we continue to ignore our big bodied athletic TE's in the redzone?
Because obviously McVay doesn't have them included in his game plan for the red zone plays. He would rather force the ball to our slow and well covered WRs than throw it to Higs or Everett or, perish the thought, Hendo out of the backfield on a crosser or circle route.
McVay sticks with his greatly hallowed game plan and that is that.

That 15 yard dig route that Sammy Watkins/brandin cooks use to thrive on is completely gone as well from this offense. Also I’ll go back to this again but where is our screen game gone? Not the stupid TE screen that we use on third and long that gets 5 yards but anything to our rb’s with blockers in front of him.

This is one of those strange/disaster games.
Dolphins don’t have 60 yards of offense and have 28 points.
