They cooked that octopus perfect!

I would rob your table for that... lol. Kinda serious though. That is literally my favorite food on the planet. I could eat that for every meal the rest of my life... and every time I'd see it on a plate... my excitement level would be almost as high as when I see Cammy's guns. It would be like the first time I'd ever seen them all over again every time.

Now I have to scroll back up and gaze at that octopus again.

It was very good. And the salad type garnish went with it really well. I almost ordered their octopus tacos too. You're probably the only one I know that loves octopus more than yours truly.

I love calimari - cooked - but it is not even CLOSE to well prepared octopus. I can't speak for @Selassie I , but I don't really even like octopus sushi. I mostly prefer raw fish to cooked for the most part, but raw octo or squid? Not really my thing.

Just grill it long enough and with gentle enough of seasonings to make it tender and bring out that octo flavor - with a little char? Heavenly.

Shit @Memento ... That seemed harsh and aimed at you. I didn't mean it that way as more just expressing my likes on calamari and octo. I prefer the two octipods(?) cooked. That is all. Cheers.

Octopus sushi is what I order most when it comes sushi. Usually 1/2 to 3/4 of my sushi order is octopus.

I'd catch em all the time back in The 808 pretty much by hand and little ceramic pots. When you got em out of the water, you'd have to bite them kinda right between their eyes to kill them. My mouth would water after biting one. My taste buds are turned up to max when it comes to octopus.

Like I said, probably the only one I know that likes it more than me. I never had a thing for raw dogging octopus. :sunglasses:

I honestly only started eating it during our trip to Panama. I had had it before but I don't think there was a restaurant in that country that didn't serve it at least 2 or 3 ways. Panamanians do octopus. I ate it 9 straight days and most days twice. This one place had these octo fritters that were amazing and I'm not even a fritter fan - except apple. But - totally different item.

While the USA prepares their 4th of July BBQ’s… I have sauerkraut, kielbasa, and potatoes in the crock.

Its been a wet weekend here. Soaker yesterday. Just rained 20 min ago off/on this afternoon.

Crockpot it is! Smells so good. Onion and apple in there, too.

Nice! My German mom and grandparents would approve. We’re going European as well today (with a touch of Mexican).

Right now I’m soaking some sliced onions in beer (Modelo), to later braise the brats* in. Then serve on a bun with the onions and mustard and/or smoked paprika :smilehearts:

Beer braised brats. Someone say that five times fast for me. I can’t—too much Dunkel in me at the moment.

* From a German deli

When I went to Frankfurt the other month pretty much all I drank was Dunkel. Magical stuff.

I smoked some dank queso dip yesterday. Took some pics as I went along. I started by browning some hot Italian sausage and then added the rest of the ingredients. I used 5 different kinds of cheese... smoked it for an hour. I stirred it 3 times during the smoke.

Action shots...

FREAKING SWEET!

I love queso. That would have good heat too. How much of the Rotel went in there? I see jalapeños too. Nice!

How much you stir that while cooking?
