We're past the first stages of free agency and the draft ... what else do you think we need and how do you think we get it done?

I think they really need three things that aren't currently on the roster:

OT3 - We need someone with some experience that can cover the inevitable Havenstein injury.

CB1 - Everyone on the depth chart looks better if they move down a slot. I do think they get something done with Ramsey, ultimately.

WR4 - I think we need someone on the bench who could step in for several weeks if Puka or Davante go down, and I don't think we have that right now.

Anyone else I'm missing?

Agree on WR-depth. If Nacua and Adams can each play seventeen games, I think the Rams are fine. Unfortunately, I don't think Nacua and Adams can each play seventeen games.

If Havenstein misses a couple games, I think McClendon (maybe even Leveston) can hold-the-fort at RT. However, if Alaric Jackson goes down for a few games ... YIKES!

That is a good start for sure. Signing a guy like Wills would go a long way to help the back up swing tackle job. I also think we kind of know we will be ending up with Ramsey, so I think we are good there.

I think its interesting that we list McCollough as a MLB on our depth chart now, wonder if he will be in there on nickle packages to cover TE/RB's? I do not love the depth behind Kinchens at FS (Ingle, Dixon-Williams), it does not inspire confidence. But, Ramsey could help in that department as well, allowing Lake to play more safety.

I like Whitt as our WR 4, but it gets scary after that so definitely picking up another guy would feel better.

Ultimately, a swing tackle has to be my top priority. We were a disaster when our starters at OT went down.

Whitt is a very specific 4th receiver with very specific skill sets. He probably backs up F and Z but not X (and even then, I don't love him at Z) so we're still looking for a guy who can probably offer a little more as a backup at the outside spots.

He is not a guy who can come in and give you meaningful snaps at every receiver position.

I would love a one-year investment in Jedrick Wills.

I see re-acquiring Ramsey as a possibility but far from a certainty.

Wow! Which site's depth chart is that. I would question its accuracy.

I like Whittington at #4 also. And Atwell at #3.

Don't like either at #2 WR if Nacua or Adams go down.

Agree.

While I would like another CB I'm mostly just worried about another offensive tackle. We are literally in the same position we were in last year when having injuries and suspension to Havenstein and Alaric almost cost us the entire season. We were lucky Stafford made it through last season without missing major time. It is an extremely dangerous situation we are in right now at tackle.

Some kind of Vet presence is definitely needed. Last year we brought in Conor McDermott to be that guy and he went and got injured before the season started and we never heard of him again. He is still available all though I find him underwhelming. But we need someone because none of our rookies look like tackle prospects... especially LT.

I think the ship has sailed for corner, barring the Dolphins eating some of that salary. Rams booted Ramsey's ass out of LA due to salary vs what he offers on the field, as they always do with any player who they know will have problems living up to what they're being paid. So it makes no sense for them to go back to that with him unless he comes in at a discount.

Swing OT is the one spot I think a move will happen. If they wait too long the remaining options will get snapped up but if I were Les I'd bring one in soon, before that happens.

Back up Tackle. When was the last time we didn't have a tackle go down during the season. Every other position we can cover up for a while even QB, with Jimmy G.

I don't see the ship sailing on CB at all. Dolphins playing hard ball with Ramsey's salary so the Rams can be patient there or they can even possibly pivot their attention to another CB such as Alexander. No matter what, I think they'll try their best to get something done with Ramsey although it isn't a guarantee. Swing OT is most definitely a concern but McVay said he liked McClendon's play for some reason so they may move slower there than we'd like. Definitely moves to be made and it'll be interesting to see what they actually end up being.

Swing tackle capable of playing LT is by far the biggest need. Free agents are underwhelming. Maybe a trade with a team that just drafted a LT?

I, like most of you, think we need to be better at corner, but one thing about this team is they are very paitent with there young players. Sometimes it pays off. Lets hope.

The Dolphins will have to blink on the eating salary thing. If it's true that Ramsey and the coach have an irreparable relationship, they will cut him if they can't find a trade partner like the Rams had to with Kupp.

Per OTC's cap calculator, if they cut him after 6/1 they have $31 mil. in dead money with a $14 mil. cap hit. But if they trade him post 6/1, they actually have nearly a $10 mil. cap savings.

My other concern is safety. I am having a morning fogg and can't remember who is behind Curl and Kinchens at safety.

He's got 48 mill in dead cap if he's cut, 30 mill in '25
He's still got guaranteed 18 mill coming to him cut or not
They'll have to find a trade partner after june 1 to take some of that cap
OTC is typically more up to date but sportrac has a better dead cap tool
