Before the game I think it was Howie long said the Rams have about 8-8.5 million in cap at this present moment. Is that accurate? And do you guys think there is someone out there to help us via remaining free agents or maybe even a trade. Doesn't have to be a superstar all we need is a decent edge rusher who if he was even average probably becomes very good on this team. We sorely lack there and need that edge sealed off. We need to have edge guy get the qb to step up apply pressure and feed him to our d-line that's when they shed those blocks and the sacks roll in, not to mention we have yet to face a real mobile qb who could really pose a problem with getting around that edge spy or no spy. Does anyone have any thoughts as to who could be had via a trade or left over free agents, rumors, anything???? Also please no more Ficken at this point I'd be willing to just to roll the dice on aguyo(spelling) or basically anyone else lol.
I totally agree. An established Edge rusher is what this D is lacking. It would help the interior pressure so damn much. Galette is still out there and "humbled". I would ring him again

If I'm a high quality edge rusher on a less talented team I'm telling my agent to get an 8 million dollar contract with the next SB Champs.

Or less if that's what it takes.

Lessee...

the only thing I haven't taken from one of my best friends who's a huge Denver fan is... Von Miller...

That's it. Mid-season trade for Von Miller.

Make it so, Snead.

If snaed gets someone near von Miller's talent I'd fly to L.A. and give him the same knee surgery whit had after the chargers game.

I think JFM is our most disruptive edge rusher right now. He needs to be on the field in all big pass rushing situations IMO and has shown much more than Samson. If Obo comes back and can contribute that would be amazing, but we are really weak at edge.

Also can we all please pray for Barron to get healthy so we no longer have to watch Ramik Wilson play football.

Players Who Could Move This Season

Buffalo Bills DE Shaq Lawson
Shaq Lawson's career hasn't come together the way many expected it would, but the 2016 first-round pick could be viewed as a quality rotational pass-rusher for a sack-needy contender.

The 1-2 Buffalo Bills may not be in contention in a month, and they've got two other quality edge-rushers in Trent Murphy and Jerry Hughes.

Lawson has just six sacks in 22 games as a pro, and this Bills regime didn't draft him. The team might not exercise his fifth-year option for 2020 anyway, which could inspire it to cut bait sooner.

Of course, he'll probably have to get healthy first. The 24-year-old has missed all but 35 snaps this season while dealing with a hamstring injury.

Potential landing spots: Chiefs, Packers, Falcons, Lions

The Rams need a boost on the EDGE from somewhere so unless Okoronkwo surprises or Ebukam improves it doesn't appear that it will come internally. I was banging the drum for Junior Gallette before the regular season. I still don't know exactly why he wasn't pursued other than his apparent "Me Not We" personality. Maybe another look at Junior? If not - Dante Fowler might be a good fit on the right team?

I obviously totally agree ....the only weird thing is Gallette came in and they never even worked him out they saw or heard something they didn't like and basically said see ya...which was weird.....id be down for Lawson I'm sticking to Trent Murphy but Denver certainly has some depth at the edge and I wonder if Ray maybe Barrett could be prayed away.

I cannot believe this team was in the hunt for Mack....could you have imagined the dominance then???? Geeeeezez talk about showtime lol. I'm still looking around other rosters to see what could fall through. Fowler would be great and I wonder if the Texans continue to lose if we could pry someone from there clutches. As of now Denver and buffalo are the best matches. I don't think any NRC team will t aide with us. So I'm keeping it strictly afc.

It probably is more likely that a one dimensional backup would be available in trade, unless a team is really throwing in the towel. Do the Rams have any backups that are both valuable and expendable to trade, besides any picks that it might take? If a team is getting a young player they may want, that could expand the number of teams willing to trade.

Honestly I dont think obi is gonna come in and be the difference maker we need from the get go. Not saying he won't be good in the future but the rams time is now. Snead needs to get on the phone and find someone who is willing to let go of a edge rusher I don5 care if it takes giving up a 2nd or 3rd this year.

What about Shane Ray? He looked like he had potential but is just a backup in Denver now. Could probably get him cheap and is better than anyone we currently have.

What’s even stranger is that he also went to Seattle and not even they offered him a contract. There’s gotta be something bigger that we are missing. Judging from his Twitter, money is not the issue and he seems hungry to play football. Of course lots of people say lots of things on social media so yeah.

Agreed. Franklin looks like he's going to end up being our starter at ROLB. He's a bit heavy-footed for the position, but does look like our best option as his strength plays well even there.

Problem with Obo is he missed a lot of time. Not sure what to expect from him, but I will say he's a good all-around backer who can do a bit of everything even if he's not rushing. But of course I hope he ends up on the edge, as he's got good skills for it.

A lot of faith (maybe hope) for a guy who hasn't played.
Most disappointed in Easelys injury as I think he was solid and Longacre. Longacre may be affected by his back so far he is doing a impression of a slower Connor Barwin.

I first want someone to contain at OLB.....set the edge vs the run and contain first on the pass rush.
Samson and Longacre are just taking up space so far this year. Samson just gets engulfed by tackles. Maybe that is him setting the edge....don't try to run around the tackle (the only way he gets a rush) and leave a giant hole. Longacre looks like a shadow of his pre injury self.
It is the one glaring weakness on this team.
That said, 4-0 and a front runner to win the NFC. No complaints. It's just a weakness.
