Man, 25, is arrested after he turned his dashcam into cops to prove his 'innocence' in a car accident - and it showed him robbing a store earlier in the day

A Florida man ended up in jail after his dashboard camera showed police more than he intended.
Xavier Moran, 25, was involved in a crash on April 5, when he told a sheriff's deputy he had been cut off by another vehicle and could prove it with his dashboard camera, according to The Palm Beach Post.
He then signed a consent waiver to search the camera.
But when the Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy reviewed the footage, they saw Moran burglarizing a beauty store earlier in the day.
Authorities say the video showed Moran parking outside a Sally's Beauty Supply store, taking a baseball bat from the trunk and using it to break the glass door of the store.
He then allegedly used the bat to try and break into the store's safe. It's unclear if he was successful in that.
Records also show he was arrested three days earlier, on April 7, for allegedly threatening to shoot his brother with an assault rifle and pistol.

A Missouri woman who had a loaded handgun hidden in her vagina at the time of her arrest last year today pleaded guilty to weapons possession and narcotics charges.
During an appearance in Circuit Court in McLean County, Illinois, Anika Witt, 27, copped to a pair of felony charges as part of a plea agreement that requires her to testify at trial against an acquaintance with whom she was arrested last September.
Pictured at right, Witt faces up to 10 years in prison on the gun charge and 15 years in custody on a heroin possession rap. However, her cooperation will likely result in a greatly reduced term when she appears in court in late-June for sentencing.
As part of Witt’s plea deal, prosecutors agreed to drop four other felony counts lodged against the convicted felon (who faces a $6400 fine related to the heroin count).
Witt and Clinton McDonald, 29, were arrested following a traffic stop on Interstate 55 just north of Bloomington. A search of the pair’s vehicle turned up heroin and Ecstasy, police reported.
Witt was subsequently transported to the McLean County jail, where arrestees are subjected to a strip search. It was during that procedure that a female jailer recovered a loaded Kimber .380 caliber handgun from Witt’s vagina.
The weapon, cops say, had a fully loaded clip and a bullet in the chamber. The gun, seen below in a photo from the manufacturer’s web site, is 5.6” long and weighs 13.4 ounces with an empty magazine.
Witt’s rap sheet includes multiple arrests, including collars for theft, passing bad checks, and resisting arrest.

A man was mauled to death by a wounded bear this week when he foolishly tried to take a photograph alongside the apex predator — the third wild animal-related selfie fatality in this region of India in less than a year, according to reports.
The victim, identified by local media as Prabhu Bhatara, was driving a group of people home from a wedding in an SUV when he stopped to relieve himself in a forest area in the eastern Indian state of Odisha on Wednesday evening, the Hindustan Times reported.
Bhatara then spotted an injured bear and for some reason, decided to take a selfie with the creature, according to the report. When the man approached, the bear’s fight instinct immediately kicked in.
“Bhatara died on the spot,” forest ranger Dhanurjaya Mohapatra told the news outlet.
Horrific video of the incident filmed by a bystander shows the bear attacking Bhatara, as terrified witnesses scream.
A stray dog even attempted to go after the bear by barking at it, but Bhatara could not be saved.
Bhatara’s death is Odisha’s third selfie-related fatality since December. A 50-year-old man was crushed to death by a wild elephant while trying to take a selfie with the animal in December, according to local media. Also that month, a youth was crushed to death while taking a selfie, also with an elephant, reports said.

A woman in Aurora, Colorado was cited by police officers Thursday after allegedly damaging a microwave at a 7-Eleven by placing a urine sample in the microwave, causing the urine to "explode."
According to a report from the Aurora Police Department obtained by 9 News, officers cited Angelique Sanchez, 26, who was found waiting for a physical and urinalysis at a health clinic a half-mile north of the 7-Eleven.
The report states that Sanchez entered the 7-Eleven and placed something in the microwave, but after a few seconds, the clerk heard a "loud bang."

The clerk told police that she saw Sanchez exit the store immediately after the explosion, and that there was "yellow liquid dripping from the microwave and the smell was unquestionably urine."
The clerk demanded that Sanchez clean up the mess, but Sanchez simply "wiped out the microwave onto the floor" and left the store.
This prompted the clerk to call the police, who were able to locate Sanchez at the health clinic waiting for the tests for a future job. According to the report, Sanchez told an officer that "she had cleaned up the mess and did not understand the problem."

This is not the first time that urine has exploded in a 7-Eleven microwave after someone tried to heat up a urine sample.
Last year, police in Oregon responded to similar incident at a 7-Eleven when a "suspicious object" exploded in the store's microwave. Police evacuated the area and even brought in an explosives unit, only to learn that the "suspicious object" was really a urine sample wrapped in a hand warmer.
"It appears that whoever was on his/her way to do a drug test did not feel that it was warm enough, so they decided to microwave it at 7-Eleven," Beaverton Police Spokesperson Mike Rowe said at the time.

All those folks who live on the side of the most active volcano in the world don't seem to be very bright. While watching the news and seeing the eruptions and lava flows, my 8 year old grandson asked me "why do people live there? I couldn't answer him, but I thought of this thread.

I've done my share of traveling and Maui is the most beautiful, breathtaking place I've ever been to. The locals don't care too much for the tourists though. When I was there in 85 a volcano erupted and our flight was postponed until the soot cleared. There are dangers no matter where you live.
In California it's earthquakes. In the south it's tornadoes. In the north it's snow and ice. On the east coast it's hurricanes. Here in western Maryland it's hillbillies, intense humidity in the summer, snow and ice in the winter.
