Watching the late games and the Sunday Night game, all I heard was about the Eagles. You'd think they won the game. Other than talking about Aaron Donald, it seems everyone is focusing on the other team, specifically that Dallas and Philly LOST rather than that we BEAT them.

Even when it comes to posting highlights in web pages with no particular order, we're at the very bottom and what's written about us is so bland that the copy for mustard commercials has more punch.

I dunno.

I got it when we were terrible, but we're recently removed from a trip to the Super Bowl, have had 3 winning records under McVay and we are seeing McVay's offense morph in front of our eyes from a pass happy attack to a sustained ground attack that chews clock and yards.

Part of me has enjoyed the talking heads be so clueless, but when I'm sitting here late on a Sunday night/Monday morning looking for my last football fix, I admit that it's a little frustrating that I can see umpteen things about Green Bay, Seattle, KC, Baltimore, SF's avalanche of injuries, the Cam Newton experiment or how Tampa Tom Tosses Touchdowns 'Til Tuesday... but it's like we're STILL getting that "equal time" bit.

They cover us like we're the Mr Bean of the league...winning by happen chance and fool's luck.

If it means we win the Super Bowl, I guess I'll just get more time with my Golden Girl reruns, but sheesh.

I hear ya. The NFL is working overtime to manufacture and promote stars right now and they don't look like Jared Goff. That's part of it.

It's the typical previous season bias. Dallas ran for a thousand yards or whatever vs our defense last season. We missed the playoffs.

I can't explain it going on with Philly. But maybe it's to do with the talking heads buying into that groupthink BS with Goff. I mean McVay threw for 3 TDs today and almost another to Henderson so.... :ROFLMAO:

I agree somewhat but I rather like the respect level we are receiving. We honestly have too many rough edges to smooth over before I would feel good about a “Rams are back” narrative.

In a perfect world, the media paints us all season as really lucky to play everybody on their off weeks. Our opponents have serious injury issues. We were lucky to win division and get 1st round bye.

Then we peak right as we get ready to play our first SoFi playoff game (with real fans in seats while I’m at it)...

I'm perfectly good with this. Love being a bit under the radar
Yeah, me too.

Rams were completely ignored and underrated throughout the reg season in 1999. Wasn’t until the Vikes playoff game that people started to notice.

Our season was not stellar last year. Recall the Ravens game? I was there and had bought 11 tickets for that disaster.

Rams need to earn their respect...I think they will if they keep it up this year!

I think so. Media don't trust us. They think we're a flat track bully who will fold when it gets tough. Gotta prove them wrong. The problem will be that when we string together 5 or 6 ws then they'll put a target on our back saying the rams are overrated and soft because they need to be proved right. McVay should be building a siege mentality with this. Us against the world. Prove everyone wrong every week.

Well we should take the new ball and bowl short. Get them ready for a broken f’ing arm!

I commend you for using a cricket analogy but a flat track bully refers to a batsman that can only score runs when the pitch allows no movement of the ball or the ball bounces evenly and lifelessly.

No problem for me.
People discredit us.
Don't need hangers-on or brown nosers.
I support my team and don't need the media/pundits to tell me the Rams are building something good under McVay.
The fans have faith and I believe this team will deliver sooner rather than later.

It doesn't bother me. It fuels me. I look forward to that look on their faces as they look up at us in shock after we punched them in the nose.

We're at our best when we're underappreciated. We were fat cats last year. That showed in our inconsistency. I like this "nobody believes in us" Rams.

If Higbees name had been George Kittle, his play today would be getting lots of buzz.
If Goffs name was Crappoopalo or whatever, his hype would be huge right now.
If Darrell Henderson had the same game, but for the Chiefs, he would be getting the kind of hype Edwards-Helaire is enjoying.

Doesn't bother me. Preferred, actually. I predicted that's how it'd go with the media saying it would be all about what Wentz didn't do.

I was watching this morning hoping for some props but yeah the bigger story seems to be the Eagles terrible start. I was hoping for, hey look at the surprising rams, they could be back to 2018, but that’s not what we’re hearing, but that’s ok. Just keep doing what they’re doing.

The media is in love with flashy QBs and running QBs.

plus the Rams don’t have the huge following thatmany more established teams have. So the media panders to the bigger fanbases

A few months before the season started. I was driving home one evening listening to ESPN radio. At that time their talking heads were really scrambling for something too talk about and most of it was pretty asinine like so and so has a new baby and my dogs farts really stink. It really was some low brow crap they were spewing. Anyway some sports related stuff finally got brought up and the Rams were mentioned. The guy was talking about the Rams and this female kept interjecting, Yeah the Rams are trash everyone knows it. That ship has sailed The Rams are trash. Every time the guy would say something she would come back with the Rams are trash. I thought to myself this is what passes for sports reporting? Anyway I prefer it this way much better than the Fisher era when every year the Rams were the team too watch the team too beat the team nobody wants to play. Now the dog really has teeth and nobody wants to talk about it.
