Fuck me; if The Simpsons have every episode ever, like FXX does, I'm really considering dropping the cable package.

The only thing holding me back, is being a WWE fan I would lose out of Monday Night Raw on USA. Plus AEW will be launching on TNT allegedly in October.

Drop Cable and pick up Hulu along with Disney Plus, that'll be about $15-18 or so depending on if you want to deal with commercials or not.

Disney Plus will give you all the Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and other stuff (they're going to be building a really extensive library) and Hulu will give you a ton of other shows, including TV shows that are currently airing, such as Monday Night Raw (I don't watch it, but I can see that it's on there, and I believe I remember seeing it on new episode releases as well). I'm able to watch shows as they air like Brooklyn 99 the day after the episode airs (so Friday) which is fine with me.

Of course you can always just find streams online if you want to watch live, or get a live TV subscription. Hulu has one for like $45, but to me, combined with my internet would push me closer to the $100 range, and I don't want to pay that much. I don't know what your budget would be. There's others like Playstation Vue, and YouTube TV, but I'm unsure what channels they have.

Either way, since cutting cable I've found that I don't really miss it. Other than sports, the best thing cable was for is having on in the background (which I can do do with any streaming service if I wanted) or reminding me about movies that I own and making me watch to watch them again.

I'll have to figure out something when the NFL is back, I can stream for free, and I can download games afterwards, but I really like having it on my TV. That's a problem I'll deal with down the line though.

If you're in LA why not get a digital TV antenna to watch the Rams?

I get basic Hulu for free through Sprint.

WWE Raw and Smackdown! Live on Hulu are shortened 90 minute versions of the live show. I do have WWE Network for $9.99 and can get the full episode the next day. Smackdown! Live will be moving to FOX in October, so there's that.

PS Vue and YouTube TV are ~$50 per month cable package, just with no contracts.

Like you said, the only thing I would miss is the sports, particularly MNF and NFL Redzone. Hulu does have a live tv, but yeah it will go to $45, making the whole thing pointless.

We'll see.

While they make some stuff that is really purely for kids, most of their major animation for decades now has been filled with jokes that are clearly aimed at adults. Plus a lot of films that really aren't aimed at kids at all. I watch very little TV - but for $6.99 I would consider streaming Disney.

Rocky & Bullwinkle had some interesting adult references from back when I was a kid, but I believe it was Ren & Stimpy in the early 90's that really blew the lid off things with what at times appeared like soft-core cartoon porn.

Even the old Loonie Tunes cartoons had parodies and references that only adults would get. But yeah, Ren & Stimpy wasn't aimed at kids at all.

Oh, ... but the kids did indeed watch Ren & Stimpy, aimed at or not. I imagine a large proportion of parents with no clue had only a cursory glance at the television screen thinking the kids were just watching a simple cartoon as they walked past.

You can get the online NFL game pass and watch the games 45 minutes after they air. I love a live game but paying a $150.00 a month to keep Direct TV is too expensive, just to get the NFL package.

What caused that?

More targets? :ROFLMAO:

Nah, just needed a change of scenery really. Moving back to Ireland somewhat soon (within the next few years, situation depending, possibly sooner), so this serves to help save money with the cost of living reduction, gives us a break from Los Angeles, and gets us used to colder weather again.

We were already planning to ditch Netflix for Disney+ in November, so we pulled the trigger on this.

We already moved from Dish Network to YouTubeTV at the beginning of the year. That brought our cable bill down from $100 a month down to around $50 ($45 if we purchase Google Play gift cards to pay for it)

Locked Up Abroad on Nat Geo is pretty awesome but how does that belong on Disney + ?

Isn’t Disney meant for kids?

When I hear Disney I think of The Little Mermaid, not Locked Up Abroad....
I mean the thought of a small child turning on Disney+ and watching a reinactment of some skanky dope fiend digging balloons of cocaine out of her feces during a layover in Frankfurt is sorta incorrect, no?
I guess the lines are now officially blurred
Not exactly. Disney was always meant for family entertainment.
Nick Jr is meant for kids

Smart to release The Mandalorian weekly, from their perspective anyway. They want their shows to be events people talk about and anticipate from week to week. Plus they force people to keep the subscription for the duration of the show then keep them in with something else once it ends.
