I had already assumed the Rams removed all the We-Not-Me jargon from the walls by now. That started ringing hollow yrs ago when they shipped players out (like Aqib, etc.).
Apparently AD99 is still buying it. He wears a sweatshirt with that logo on the back during warmups.

Plus a 4th and 3 6s for their other FA losses.
And if someone plucks Morris for a HC job? Another 3rd.
I believe comp picks including coaches/gm's is capped at 4 but yes we're looking good for comp picks. And I also think if we lose Morris this year we don't get a 2nd for that we'd get 1 next year something about not getting 2 of those in a single year.

I very much doubt the Rams are trying to pull in all the money they can in order to improve their cap space for next year. They are all in for win now. Something is up. We'll know in a couple of days I guess.
Couldn't agree more . Les is in the kitchen. :giggle:

The way this evolved, seems clear DJax is driving this.
If you start from there, it’s easy to conclude the Young move was unrelated.
Now, that doesn’t mean that they won’t make a move now that they might have breathing room.
Hard to say. Just a bunch of weirdness going on which I stated in a earlier post.
I think Les is in the kitchen

The coach/front office comp is in addition to the players.
But I was not aware you need to have 2 years with a team to qualify for that.

It's apparent DeSean Jackson is not happy being the WR4 on a SB roster.

Better to move on from him before he becomes a locker room distraction.

I'm stunned that DeSean became so bitter after only 7 games into the season.

Careful what you wish for DeSean.

The grass isn't always greener on the other side.

I'm with McVay on this. Trade the spoiled brat if there is a team wanting his services.

Get this brat off the roster asap.

If Rams are negotiating a trade they save a little $$$ by executing the trade after the traded players game. One less game check. Also more teams may concede a season after suffering another loss this weekend.

In addition to the two year rule I believe that you can't have more than one of those in a particular draft.

Teams that lose a minority coach or executive to a head coach or general manager job with another team will receive a third-round compensatory pick for two consecutive years, per Pelissero. If a team loses a minority coach and an executive to HC and GM roles, that club will receive a third-round compensatory pick for three consecutive years.

Depends on if that game check is more that DJax which with some of the names thrown around here it would be. But you'd have to subtract the difference tbh.

Good call. I was thinking of 2 trade transactions. One for trading DJax and another one for picking up a Defensive player. Perhaps one transaction could accomplish both.

It could but either each player would have another game check paid so we'd take on a bit less for the new player and pass along a bit less for DJax going to the new team.

I am still unsure what to make of this.

A 34yr old (soon to be 35) player asking to be traded away from a 6-1 team?

It doesn’t compute.

From the player side, this is usually the career stretch you start focusing on championships and location. As fans… that’s what we thought Jackson wanted, too.

It’s also odd that the snaps haven’t materialized, as we know they discussed his role at time of signing. It just didn’t come together, I guess.

We will learn more in the days ahead. It’s not a great look for the Rams. But, we don’t know everything yet.
he game is speed and he is getting older = he wants to play before he looses it

Ironic part is this weekend will be 8 games active just no starts. Last 2 years he played a total of 8 games combined just all starts but the Eagles didn't have anybody like Woods let alone Kupp on those teams.

It could be time for a rare 3-way trade to make the money work.

I like the idea of moving him to Indy. They're solid and he knows the offense and they could use some help at wideout.

And if the Rams are thinking RB then Mack is there and have to think they can work something out.

Who knows, maybe Indy, the Chiefs, and the Ravens get into a little bidding war and we can get a 5th or maybe DJ & a 7th for a 5th or 4th. Those 5th's can be used to move up into the early 4th. That can really pay off if a guy falls that they really like.

Doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense, they bring Jackson in to jump start last year’s sluggish offense then they discover that Stafford is doing that himself with the 3 guys they already had. So, they don’t really need him offensively and they could really use the money for practice squad guys who get called up, and they’re also paying Tutu to not do anything. So if Desean wasn’t unhappy is he still in danger of being cut?
It just looks like they outsmarted themselves.

Everyone knew Stafford was the one would would be the spark to really move this offense forward. Jackson was never expected to spark anything, he was merely another 3rd or 4th at best. And, it sounds like he is the one who initiated all of this, not the team. If he can’t find a trade, I don’t see how they keep a guy on the roster who could be a cancer in the locker room. At this point it is making things better by getting him out of the locker room whatever that takes.
