If the league catches wind that McVay has interest in any QB, then Snead will be trading up to get him, not trading back. When a good offensive minded coach is interested in a QB, other coaches start to think they need to take a closer look.

Shanahan couldn’t get anything from him. I don’t know what makes Jake think that McVay could go any better. That’s a terrible idea. Consider that Shanahan had backups like Nick Mullens and Beathard winning games and he gave up on Lance.
From what I have seen is that he is just not an accurate passer. Can't succeed in this league if you are not accurate.

I've.wondered about Trevor but I haven't seen enough of him to make an educated decision. Although from what I have seen is he's hot garbage

There was some trade/draft speculation that the Jags would get a high QB selection and trade Trevor away. I think only McVay would know which QBs he thinks would do well under him. We know he wanted Stafford for his "Gunslinger" soulsnatcher "IT" factor over Goff, but Trevor Lawrence reminds me way more of Goff than he does Stafford.

Could you imagine Josh Allen on the rams whew

Which one are you referring to? Dart or Lance?
I like Dart. He seems to have that something special about him. A little pazzaz or something. I will say I haven't seen a lot of him, but from what I have observed he seems to have a little Mayfield & Stafford in him, in terms of moxie, confidence, and talent. A big enough arm and can make some plays with his legs and toughness.

I saw him once in the bowl game against PSU last year. He played very well in that game. I don’t know if he’s consistently that good.

Riley Leonard could be a developmental guy if Stafford is going to definitely play at least 2 more years. He is slated as a 4th rd guy right now on most draft sites, which means he could go anywhere from 3rd to the end of draft as often time these name QBs from big schools often drop farther than some expect.

Good size and athletic, just not sure if he will ever be a big time pure passer. He can run though and maybe McVay can develop him into a good NFL QB.

Lance and Cooper Rush are UFA and 1 will end up as Dak's backup and the other on the PS. Dak's cap hit for 2025 is 89 mill!!!
Good grief

Riley Leonard is a horrible passer, I cant believe he'd be on any draft board

I recognize it’s controversial and Stafford would have to go but it makes so much sense.

Nick Bolton. Just...Nick Bolton. I wanted him over Atwell in his draft year because he was one of the best linebackers Mizzou's had, and he's significantly improved in the NFL.

I love Speights, and I love how Rozeboom's improved, but if you asked me to replace Rozeboom with Bolton, I'd do it in a fucking heartbeat.
Yes please, Bolton!

Yeah, he is a little rough, but I would take him over Bennett as a back up. He has tools and better size. Definitely a project.
At best he’s a less talented version of Taysom Hill. Noodle arm, inaccurate as all get out. Tough as nails and gets the chained moved in college but doesn’t have the ability to be a passing QB at any level

Odd thing is his passing highlights at Duke were not bad. Maybe I just didnt see enough of him.

The idea regarding Lance is he would cost next to nothing and he has raw, first round, physical traits.
He barely got a chance in SF before he was injured.
Although, it was obvious the Whiners had more of a chance to win with Jimmy G than Lance at that time.
I like the idea of trying to find a guy to develop.
The options are few.
Invest big draft capital to move to draft a guy, spend massive money to sign a guy or roll the dice on someone who is being chased out of somewhere else.
Limited options and its worth a roll of low risk dice.
Im not in love the idea of Lance, there are other possible guys.
