That's a pretty big leap jumping from pandemic to apocalypse. No police or National Guard in that world ? How do neighbors know which others are better stocked, and how many bad guys are willing to die breaking into homes before they can steal your sandwich ?

You wrote that educated people won’t pillage those that take precaution - so if you are educated you don’t commit crimes or aren’t covetous? But if you are uneducated you will? Come on East.

Some of the finest humans I know aren’t book learned. And some of the biggest thieves I’ve know graduated from Stanford Law.

Again, I appreciate that you are going to “prep” and that is good for you. And many others will as well. But all “prepping” for a pandemic means is you have more stuff on hand so you don’t have to go to the market as much - that’s all
