Bick throwing shade on the Rams win this morning on local radio...damning with faint praise about how they gutted out the win while also saying they were lucky to get out of Baltimore alive.

At which point I'm not-so-calmly asking the radio when was the last time your team won a game when the midget turns the ball over three times...

Just checked for grins and giggles...Murray is 0-2 in games with 3 INT's. Lost to Pittsburgh in 2019 and the Lions ( :) )last year. Credit where it's due, he's only had those two games with that many INTs.

Did not find anything on lost fumbles though so that may not be the last word.

So much of my commentary is framed on the expectations of getting to and winning the Super Bowl this year. Yes, that's very, very high and it leads to some very focused criticism, I'll admit.

That being said... THIS TEAM IS 12-4!!! What a year!!! Not something to take for granted.. and the season isn't over!!

155 passer rating in 4th quarter

leads NFL in second half passer rating (bit of a slow starter, granted)

happy to have 9

thanks @RamFanWA
Don't know anybody who isn't happy he's our QB. But I'll keep going back to this and yes those stats are great no disputing it! But this is what people are saying her headline here perfectly captures peoples feelings.

Imagine how good our team would be if we didn't have to overcome our QB handing the other team 10 points and a lead early in the game? I'm not mad at Matt but like he himself says about his play, he has to be held to a higher standard and he expects better out of him. It seems to upset people when fans to the same thing that the player and his coach do.

Glad you posted that tweet from Jourdan. Good post :thumbsup1:

I don’t see it as fans doing the same as coach and player.

Haven’t heard Stafford or McVay mention broad side of a barn.

Has the nuance that is missing from discussion of Stafford here. Not all here are saying what she is articulating. Both can be true.

When fans use words like ”continually” or ”constantly”, there is no nuance, those are absolutes, generalizing and exaggeration, and therefore false.

In his post game press conference, on the Pick-06, McVay said "We actually had a mis-communication, we didn't run the right route at the #2 spot and that enabled Clark to be able to kind of trigger on Higbee running the out cut from the #3 spot
OBJ was the #2 WR if you go back and watch that play. So a WR fucks up the route, Stafford gets blamed for the INT. Comes with the territory, but point is we don't know everything that happens on every play. And it makes sense OBJ still makes a few mistakes a game. This offense is unbelievably complicated and there's no way he has a full grasp on it yet after two months.

Sorry... when there's a player wide open for a first down, there's no world where that's as good as a punt. It's a best case scenario of a really bad play.

Stafford made a mistake. He will make plenty more. You have your opinion, I have mine. We won.

Trent Dilfer was saying almost the exact same thing later in the day with Cowherd. That his late-game heroics are digging his team out of messes he made...

Apparently it's shocking to think we could be a better team without digging ourselves a hole to climb out of.

Not shocking. But if you expect any QB to throw out a perfect rating every time out then you’re fooling yourself. He’s better than what we had, and he’s arguably a top QB this season with all of the faults and mistakes.

Got it because I've asked for perfection :D Sorry I'll just keep quiet and accept bad plays happen with him and our QB putting the other team up 7 or so points is ok. No more Stafford INT discussions from me.

Just seems like that’s your expectation.

hahaha

Shouldn't everybody expect or what I'm doing here hoping for the best from all of our players? It seems offensive to ponder how good our team could be without some of the bad 1st quarter performances we've had. Are people so fragile that honest criticism of any Rams player excites such comments? One person even made the comment that because people are critical of some of Matt's bad plays, same thing he and his coach do, we're salty about the trade. It's beyond stupid anymore. There are people who foolishly bring up Jared every time Matt makes a mistake and there are people who attack Rams fans for wanting better from our QB. We're the 2 seed right now and could have a good playoff run! It could be in better shape going into the playoffs too but because I said this doesn't mean I'm not happy with the way we're sitting right now that just seems to be hard for people to accept.

I think it’s more than fair to criticize play and coaching. But the reality is that the opponent is legit as well. Setbacks and adversity is what makes this game fun and hard to predict. Stafford has done well overall this year in a complex offense for year 1. Id anticipate that he will improve. He has had sucky moments, that’s facts. But he’s also made aggressive throws that most all QBs wouldn’t dare make. INTs are a part of what you take with a gunslinger like Stafford. He gets too impulsive and wants the big play too much, but again, it comes with his style of play.

Just my two cents.

He has to play better in the playoffs. I'll say that at the outset because that is the truth.

But I'm with you on the above. Lot of QBs struggling this year with all these teams playing two deep looks. Wasn't too long ago all the talk was about how offenses had won the NFL and defenses no longer mattered. Well defenses have adjusted. He absolutely is among the league leaders, one of the best QBs this year statistically. And also we have played one hell of a tough schedule. By my count we played 7 playoff teams to include some of the top seeds in the NFC.

And we're 12-4. Only in entitled fanville does that type of thing go unrecognized as part of the big picture.

Yup.

Perfection? No. Better in some aspects? Yes. Because we're talking about a team with Super Bowl expectations.

Do I expect him to throw only 4 ints like Rogers? Of course not. But I'd sure like to see him not throw pick-6s and fumble inside his own 10 yard line.
