I was a little concerned when he shanked that 1st FG attempt, but the 55-harder was right in the throat...

Before he kicked it I was thinking that it was gonna go right. He wasn't lined up right. It was pretty obvious to me.

McVay had Goff go deep just enough to scare the hell outta the Raiders. Goff just missed on two by mere inches and Cooks drew two huge PI’s. Highly effective. When Goff gets the range, look out!

I've seen some posts that have worries about Goff's inaccuracy (not that it was the deep balls).

I was thrilled to see them even when the ball was just over Woods or Cooks' fingertips...they'll start hitting those.

Agreed about Littleton. Needs to work on coverage but man it was nice to see some of his “sticks” after watching Ogletree’s whiffs and getting tossed by various ball carriers the past couple of years.

During Marshawn's TD I still loved Littleton leaping onto the pile and body-surfing everybody. :yay:

I thought the Johnson int was amazing...it was really impressive when he went up and won that battle for a jump ball...Huge, huge play in the game...

It was amazing until you realize who he was battling. Cook could be a beast if he would go get the ball and not drop 3rd down passes. Not to take anything away from Johnson, because it was a great play, but Cook let 2 balls be picked when they were thrown to him. For a bit I thought Cook was trying to prove the Rams made a mistake letting him go and firing Fisher, but then I remembered McVay is the best coach our Rams have ever had. And getting rid of Cook and Fisher were necessary for the Rams to become a legit SB contender for many years to come.

Forgot to say that we bumped into Eric Dickerson last night on the BART on the way to the game. He was laughing and joking with everyone. While I was next to him Fox TV phoned him and asked if he would do something for them at the game in LA next week and he said something along the lines of 'how much y'all paying me for that?!'

I was all for playing it cool but when I mentioned to my old man who it was he didn't believe me and went up and asked him... killing my swag dad.

Really weirdly I also bumped into a kid at the game last night with his parents who was wearing the same jersey I wore when i played for my local american football team in the highlands of Scotland about 15 years ago now. I did a quadruple take, never mind a double take. They were in town on holiday and checked out the game and he wore his local jersey. He said he got a million comments from folks asking who the 'Highland Wildcats' were but none as shocking as the guy who said 'I used to play for them!'

Great night overall.

He just commands so much respect. Going from joking with Peters to guys saying yes sir. I’ve never seen a coach quite like him.

Even more than any player, McVay is my favorite Ram.

It took them a half to get all that rust knocked off of the offense, but they delivered in the 2nd half. I was really surprised how well the O-Line looked, and I don't know if Andrew Whitworth gets enough appreciation for what he does. Noteboom is lucky to be able to learn from him. Blythe looked good, and I'd keep him as the starter even past the first 2 games if he is still playing this well.

what about when whit told sullivan to watch out for irvin spinning into him because that's all he does. next shot they show irvin spinning around inside from whit and right into sullivan who's just standing there waiting for him. good stuff.

I agree! Love to show Rams fans and the dumb crap sports media this narrative about not being a 'team' and 'issues' are going to make things implode is such far off bullcrap. This teams make up from the the Owner down is totally different than what has happened before. Literally the perfect storm with so many things coming together for us. Now it's just a point of going out there doing it as a team!

they're still going on about it. "everyone is happy when you're winning, let's see how they react if they start losing"

and jonhson holding onto his leg and being dragged along the ground for 5 yards.

Littleton is going to be a beast. I was wrong about Barron. We need him back. Wilson was decent in run stop but man we have to get someone who can cover TEs.
