This front is awesome period. Verse & Young just getting started on the edges. Turner & Fiske on the interior. Have to think one more offseason is gonna deliver a top defense and when McVay gets a top defense his teams go deep.

Anybody think Fiske is just scrarching the surface? Guy is already an absolute terror. Much as I love Verse, nothing tops an interior disruptor on defense.

Fiske might be ahead of Verse in sacks so far after today. Lots of people thought we reached for him by spending two 2nd rounders, but he's playing like a first round pick so far.

I don't disagree with your take at all. But I do think that this defense is specifically built this season to complement a high-possession offense that can put up points, where the defense tees off on that opposing QB. So if and when that starts happening we may see this team finally arrive. You're probably right though that they're not gonna actually do anything in the playoffs.

That said I thought the same last season and we gave Detroit all they could handle at home. So I have learned not to underestimate this team.

DUDE - yeah went to a game where The Rams lost. Saw Baltimore game & T’ White got away with a PI.

Whiterspoons PI’s the last 2 weeks have been boarder line.His TD he gave up wasn’t (shouldn’t) all on him.That’s asking a lot from a CB.There needs to be a LBer or safety underneath.Not sure if that was pure zone(man) ?
I’m not silence of The Lambs type of Rams Fan though,just crazy hyped up.

Both the O and the D have started games so poorly. Is it Xs and Os, the play calling, or is it the players not ready for the intensity of the opponent?

I say the coaching is failing big time.

Not only are they not scoring in the 1rst quarter, but they are struggling just to get a first down. The playcalling is not cutting it.

Defensively, I don’t mind so much. A young team is being “outscripted” early. They adjust and start taking over. The defensive front just wears down the OL as the game goes along.

This team is just so close to putting it together and dominating. They have to get off to a better start next week. We know they can, they did it vs the vikings.

Lol! That’s part of the “Aaron Donald Effect”. IDL earn every stat they get and a good one finds himself constantly double teamed.

I’ve said before and I’ll say it again:
Having been fortunate enough to watch AD99 week in and week out for his entire career, I am no longer as enamored or impressed with edge rushers as I used to be. The good ones are good, yes, but none of them are capable of wrecking a game if they are doubled all game.

Back to Fiske. That hit on the QB turned the game around for the Rams. A TD on the next play and the Rams had the lead for good.
He’s already showing he’s a badass.

May i ask why? Serious question.
I remember a brief few games where he looked solid at left tackle, absolutely stunk up the joint at left guard between his many many stints being injured and has looked lousy in spot duty while taking up major cap space.
It's literally been 3 years since i had any hope in him.

These young Bucks are a bunch of playmakers.

They may not always do the right thing or be in the right place. They may go off with a dumb penalty at any time.

But they are always catching the interception or blowing up a blocker for a sack.

A little Jekyl and Hyde fun definitely entertaining and dangerous.

Great win to come all the way cross country on a short week and beat those guys.

We are right there and ahead of where we were last year. NO reason we cant make the playoffs and be the team NO ONE wants to face.

Will take the W for sure! Solid win! We do need to figure this first quarter malaise thing out. It won’t fly against teams like Philly and Buffalo. Ticky tack penalty on Verse to keep the Cheats drive alive could have been more game altering for sure. Great performance for the offense top to bottom.

It was a lil hard to watch today with a lil stomach bug going on. At least the dog wasn’t as stressed out, as I was definitely more subdued. Next game is HUGE!!!!

I was at the game. That was so much fun!

I attended the Rams game as well (first time in 15 years). Thoughts:
-Gillette stadium and surrounding was ver cool.
-Pats fans are drinkers but we’re respectful enthusiastic fans
-There were more Rams jerseys walking around than I expected
-Rams played a complete game on both sides of the game
-Pats have a good QB in Drake. He took advantage of the Rams weak middle.
-when they are on KUPP/Nacua are best 1/2 tandem in NFL
-Verse is intense even more so live. Always chatting the officials and mixing it up.
-Still not sure why TEs/Atwell not bigger part of offense but they contributed.
-Rams defense will be a top 5 by end of year if not already.
-Karty missed an easy one that would have changed the game but he’s a rookie
-I’m getting a feeling zRams will be competitive the rest of the season so good to be Rams fan
-Go Rams!!
