Very happy that we won but it was Jacksonville a team we should destroy. Im more excited about next week's game and I expect a dub there as well.

Cardinals have shown that they're likely the best team in the NFL.

We've shown nothing since that first game against them that suggests we can win on Monday.

Expecting 8-5 after next week.

That's fair.

I think the changes we saw in Rams offensive approach are partially aimed at AZ.
Cards let up 4.7 yards per carry. Be disciplined.. pound the ball with those jumbo sets.. don't turn the ball over.
Then.. hit Murray.

Cards *do not* get the ball out quickly... this is a game where the structure of the Rams D could actually help. Maybe Von can make an impact.

I'm sure Henderson was wondering where this gameplan has been

Running the ball works.. and hopefully this will be the norm moving forward

We were far less predictable on Offense today..

Much needed before a big game next week

I’m skeptical McVay will start Michel going forward but I am confident he will start getting him more touches. I just think philosophically, especially in a 17 game season + playoffs, you need 2 backs that can spell each other. So I’m not even sure I care who starts, but if they start to find a rhythm where maybe Sony is getting 15 carries and 3-4 receptions and Hendo is getting 12 carries and 3-4 receptions or something like that, I think it will benefit the offense long term. These games where one gets 18 carries and the other gets 4 don’t make sense to me (I know that wasn’t the case today).

Nice win! Looked good in the second half.

Did Miller play today?

The opponent isn't what matters. What matters is finding balance and getting this offensive unit some hope in everyone executing behind a nice ground game. That's a big deal. McVay's offense has always gone apeshit when they have a good ground game. When they don't they have always looked pedestrian.

In 2018 after a cold stretch where the run game was shit they went on a roll after adding CJ Anderson. That roll started with a big win over a shitty Arizona team. I see no reason to discount the potential benefits of what strides were made today. Maybe this is the start of something.

Dont disagree. But you cant tell me for a single second that the Jacksonville Jags are a worthy opponent to oppose that balance. Good teams are supposed to beat the teams they should beat. Im with you, the ground game is a huge part of this operation. But the Jags dont boast what the Cardinals will next week.

I hope this is a start of something, and think it certainly can be. But I aint holding my breath until there is more consistency in execution from the players and play calling from McVay to stick to it.

Not to mention, the injuries we've sustained and seem to have added this week... tough to win hard games without key pieces.

Who gives a damn right now. Enjoy and celebrate this win, it's kind of what the thread is about. If you want to start a doom and gloom thread about next weeks game already then by all means please do.

These tough matchups are the ones where we really need Michel. So this Cards game you hand that ball to Sony early and often and make them work to stop him. That will slow their rush and we'll see a different Cards defense.

Cards have a fine defense, but they can be had on the ground. I think they're gonna be worried about the Rams offense with Michel mashing from the backfield and they should be. If the Rams come out like they did today it's gonna be a good game instead of the ass kicking we received last time IMO.
