Harris has a lot of catching up to do is he's wants to stick.
Brown had a couple of eye-popping plays.. with a hurt hand. Tremendous potential there to be an AShawn replacement. What I did was rewatch the 2021 preseason. I really didn't watch much last year. Tutu, Harris, XJones, Bobby Brown, etc all showed promise. Harris had some nice catches as did Tutu. Tutu had a 35-40 yard PR as well as a 20 yard PR called back by penalty. Bobby Brown had moments but Chris Garrett was awesome. I am much more encouraged after watching it than I was after listening to Ram fans complain about Tutu and Harris.
We don’t know what we have in Harris yet but imagine him as another strong handed high point receiver. In the red zone, Robinson back right, Harris back left and Kupp short crossing as Staffords end zone targets. Then OBJ joins and put Harris as TE with a delayed release. Impossible to stop.
Yeah, this is where I'm at for the most part. Heh....I still remember being told all the things Brian Leonard could do. You know, Running Back, back up Full back, 3rd down specialist, Special Teams secret weapon, etc. On and on ad infinitum ad nauseum. He's not either. He lacks certain skills that are required in both domains.
I will be surprised if he sticks around.
True. Depending on the staff that drafts the player. Do they need the player to be THAT guy or are they capable of making him THAT guy?Yeah, this is where I'm at for the most part. At the end of the day the correct answer was "none of the above."
I've grown leery over the years with certain players being hyped on all the roles and various and sundry ways they can benefit the team. However, when all is said and done it just never really works out like people had hoped.
Now I will say I hope I am wrong with Mr. Harris, but the track record for these type of projects ain't good.
Just sayin'...

A project with a lot of athleticism at the moment. Stay cautiously optimistic

Good point. We'll never know how many of those guys were capable starters/ role players but limited by the coaching staff, compared to how many were less than JAGs drafted by a terrible coaching staff.difference between Leonard and Harris?
one drafted and coached by J Fisher
one drafted and coached by Sean McVay
huge
train
I think the more appropriate question is, "Is Jacob Harris a PS player next year, or is there a spot on the 53?"
