Yeah, this looks like a bad culture fit. I was a huge fan of Cam when we drafted him and throughout his rookie year. It was clear to me though, that he was unhappy even while scoring a walk in TD against the hags 2 weeks ago. Shame.

Time to go, Cam. Best of luck to you, but this TEAM simply has to move on and not discuss this shit anymore.

I agree that it's 'time to go' and the Rams have 'to move on'. However, I don't think wish him the 'Best of Luck.'

A football season is long, tough and filled with challenges. Coaches and players need to mentally tough to minimize the challenges and push through them as quickly as possible. Remember the win-less November in the Championship Season.

Last year was brutal, and probably lost early-on but Akers' issues (whatever they were) just made things worse.

This year, the Rams have a great first week and Akers gets 22 touches but, once again, he is a negative story.

I would love to better understand the exact specifics of these "Issues" but, without clarity, I'm not giving Akers the benefit of a doubt here. Not wishing him poorly but, also, not wishing him well/luck.

I remember some of the OTA talk about how Cam and Van had become kinda joined at the hip, pushing each other in practice and holding each other accountable. I think there was even some video footage about the two of them. My point being, I wonder how much of an affect these problems with Cam are having on Van? Could his bad attitude be dragging Van down?
What a stretch

So if I understand cap we would end up saving just under $1.3 million in cap space if we cut or trade him. since he's in last year of his contract we'd eat $512k in dead cap this year for bonus $ but obviously no lingering effects past this year. We'd gain 15/17s of his base salary which would be around $1.28million since we've paid for two games already. Not a big deal but every dollar we can carry over to next year is nice.

Browns picking up Hunt, Ravens Kenyan Drake. I smell a release of Akers coming...
My thoughts exactly. Unless they were out trade talks as the Rams zeroed in with another team.

I dont understand why a team would trade for a guy when there are free agents available that dont cost anything

Please, let this get settled today. Our team needs to be thinking about ripping heads off of Bengals.
