I wonder how much extra cash Brockers got to go to freezing cold Michigan, instead of working a deal to stay with the Rams. Did he get that much more to make the change worth it?

Brockers has two years remaining on his current contract.

And Ford Field has a roof, so no freezing fans or teams.

Contract stays the same no change for him to move.

We knew this was an option but it sucks. Brock is a standup dude he will do well in Detroit.

Dude was already gone. The Rams did him a solid. First pick ever by Les Snead. It was time for him to go.He was one of The Best Mentors I’ve seen as a Ram player over his career.
—The Rams had a 3rd rd pick coming back. Now what did The Rams get ? An extra year with Brockers & a 6th ?

So maybe he didn't want to take a pay cut? Oh well, on to the next move/moves.
Yes that's why we traded him he wouldn't take a pay cut so we send the player with his existing contract to Detroit.

I was more thinking of living in Michigan, day in and day out...month after month. Not particularly game day!

Good guy and a solid, reliable player for many years. I'm expecting something like a 2022 6th round pick.

Well Holmes is from the school of Snead so maybe he overpaid lol
I could see we swap picks. I read the Lions have no picks after round 5. Rams looking for more draft capital this year so could see Brockers and our 6th for their 5th.

That is a big jump from late round 6 to early round 5. Plus with have comp picks at end of round 5, that could be like a 60 pick jump.

Or could just be a 6th or 7th next yr on a salary dump.

Money toward signing a center?

Hoping for an upgrade, but we may only be afford to re-sign Blythe...

Think I read 6 Million I forget exactly but it's a decent chunk.
It’s too bad to lose Brockers, he’s an outstanding player and leader. But Rams are deep on the d- line and already picked up Robinson to replace him last year. Hope we can put the extra cap to good use.

Would be nice if Snead could get our 3rd back in exchange for one of our comp 3rds...and maybe a 7th next yr. Would move us up about 15 picks in round 3.

I'd love it if we could trade Brockers and one of our 3'rd round Comp picks to move up higher in the 3'rd and get our old pick back.
