If this was 2010, this move would be talked about more amongst Ram fans. Maybe its because we were so terribly talent deficient at across the board and that's not the the case anymore. Now we're gitty about our pass rush, OL, RB's, and overall bludgeoning our rivals in the dirt. (This is "The Fisher Effect", BTW.)

I remember when we got Clayton and DX. We were really excited to see what they could do. Our hopes were fulfilled, they did well, but they couldn't stay healthy.

Our optimism would burst if Britt have that spark in the passing game similiar to DX and Clayton because we know we'd dam near have a dangerously complete offense. Unlike 2010, Britt isn't the only guy that could do it for us. Quick or Givens could have that impact on us, too.

I just think Britt has the highest upside of any of our outside threats. He's big, he's dangerous, and he's kind of a head case. Head cases perform their best under Fisher, typically. He's in a prime situation. (I don't know what's up with Pead, though. It's disturbing.)

Yes im hoping the same as Fro. Im also hoping that having some one on the team with a similar body type will help Quick. Like the fine things like positioning on jump balls . I cant wait until next week of Ota's

Before Britt got hurt mid-season a few years ago, he was on track to lead the NFL in multiple receiving categories. Yes, it was only about 5 or so games into the season, but that is the kind of player he can become. Britt and Quick on the outside, along with Austin and Cook between the numbers, is a very solid group of pass catchers.

If Bailey weren't suspended, I wouldn't be worried at all about the passing game. With the improved situation all around and the experience from last season, I know they can do good things this season.

Out of Britt, Pettis, Quick, and Givens, I expect someone could break away from the crowd, but they need to do it game one.

I would bet on Britt or Givens.

Britt just hasn't been the same since his knee injuries. A lot of people want to point to his effort and how that will improve under Fish but it's more than that.

I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not expecting much out of him.

Will his knee(s) hold up?
Will he catch the freaking football?
Will Bradford lose confidence with him if the drops continue?
Will he be able to quickly learn the playbook?
Will he or will he not do something stupid off the field and get suspended?
Has he matured enough to take his craft more seriously or is he going into porn? (just kidding)
If he's doesn't win a starting role, can he contribute on special teams?

It's a good move to take a flyer on this kid to see what's up with him. But, while I hope for the best, I believe this team has the potential to do well with or without him. And while many disagree wholeheartedly, it really wouldn't shock me to see someone like T.J. Moe (if healthy) outshine him in camp and beat him out if there is a numbers game at the position.

He shouldn't be any worse than Drew Bennett was for the Rams...

This is pretty much how I feel. I would like being pleasantly surprised though.

Britt could be dead and he'd still be better than Bennett with his huge contract and his showing Isaac Bruce out of town.

I agree. With Bailey coming back week 5, he could easily fill in for Britt if he's the below average player we've come to know through recent history. I just like his ceiling. Fisher beleives in him, he beleives in Fisher, and that's an exciting combination.

The knee appears to be fine, not DX fine. I'm sure he had a pretty thorough physical.

This franchise will take the next step once it finds their QB. We're going to see this season that the only thing holding us back is #8.
He hasn't been the problem these last seasons. No reason to believe he's suddenly become the problem now.

Yeah, 14 TD's, 4 picks (3 tipped), and a 90 passer rating at mid season really stinks. Not to mention he was way up there in yards, too. He was our offense until Stacy started.

You may be right, though. Any player that can't stay healthy can't be counted on. That's the big knock on Bradford.

I am a little concerned about his knee; I tore my ACL in November and had the surgery about a month after Bradford. I grant you, I don't have the resources or fitness level of Bradford, but the mental side of things seems to be the hardest thing to come back from. I sometimes get a strange apprehension when I work out, just little knocks to the confidence. I hope he is mentally ready to go for the start of camp, ready for contact and feeling great.

What is it with all these posters with less than 100 messages lately? Seems like many of the new posters are just here to bag on players.

Cook had his best year last year. I don't think you can really put him on the same list as Steve Smith and Sims-Walker.

But he was still disappointing in my opinion and as a former Fisher guy who was meant to come in and be amazing he was far from it, he was better than Smith and Sim-Walker but then again who wasn't.
