While the Jaguars are still after Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen is also reportedly high on their radar. If Johnson picks Chicago or Las Vegas, Jacksonville could then move quickly to hire Coen. Most importantly, the NFL coaching carousel should be moving quickly this week and that will open the door to first-time head coaches poaching assistants from other staffs for their coordinator positions.

I never hear this mentioned on TV or podcasts, but if he’s hired as a head coach, Liam is another coach on the McVay tree

Aaron Glenn to the Jets and again not a fan of the hiring, but maybe he will be able to change the culture, but I believe the Lions defense could be better next season depending on who they hire.

For the Raiders after losing out on Ben Johnson, Todd Monken would be a good hire for them IMHO.

The Dallas Cowboys will now be the laughing stock of the National Football League. I have several family members and friends, who are Cowboy fans and they were not excited about Kellen Moore as their next head coach, but my response was, well, it could be worse, you could hire Brian Schottenheimer. OMG!

LMAO. There's a reason in his near 20 years as an NFL/NCAA OC that he's never been considered for a head-coaching gig.

You never go full Jerry Jones...

If they do indeed hire Schottenheimer I think most Cowboy fans would jump off the Tallahatchie Bridge, however, IMO, they are setting up a Kellen Moore hire, who was not a popular choice, but hiring Moore instead over BS will become very popular.

WOW! Remember he was our OC for one season then went back to Kentucky then got Bucs OC job. Good for this guy!!

Liam Coen
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Primary LogoTBOffensive Coordinator
Tampa Bay Times’ Rick Stroud reports the Buccaneers are “preparing” for Liam Coen to be offered the Jacksonville Jaguars head coaching job.
The smoke has been strongest on Coen and Robert Saleh for the Jaguars since Ben Johnson signed on with the Bears. Coen has also been linked to the Raiders, but has not had an official interview with the club yet. The Jaguars would certainly boost Trevor Lawrence’s short-term outlook with Coen, a creative screen-designer who excelled with the Buccaneers last year as they finished seventh in offensive DVOA. The Jaguars are reportedly set to meet with Coen tomorrow.

Coen's done a nice job but I don't know that he's got the gravitas that's going to be needed to unfuck the Jags. I'd like to see him do well there but doubt it will happen.

And Jerruh choosing Schotty is a fucking meme. There's an irony in the fact he's become that old and stagnant leader in the organization who needs to be replaced.
