If Ben Johnson (expect) and Aaron Glenn (don’t expect) get head coaching jobs, they could try to hire some of the Lions’ position coaches for coordinator roles.
I think hiring Aaron Glenn would be a mistake too, but IMO, I believe he will end up in either New York or more likely New Orleans and that might actually benefit the Lion defense.

While the Jaguars are still after Johnson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen is also reportedly high on their radar. If Johnson picks Chicago or Las Vegas, Jacksonville could then move quickly to hire Coen. Most importantly, the NFL coaching carousel should be moving quickly this week and that will open the door to first-time head coaches poaching assistants from other staffs for their coordinator positions.

Time for my predictions and away we go.

  1. Las Vegas Raiders...Ben Johnson (Lions). I don't understand why Johnson would prefer the Raiders over the Bears, but maybe he does not want to be in the same division as the Lions.
  2. Chicago Bears...Todd Monken (Ravens)...Bears pivot and hope that Monken can help Williams like he has Jackson. Monken has plenty of experience and was Head Coach at Southern Mississippi with a record of 13-25.
  3. New York Jets...Aaron Glenn (Lions) the more things change the more things remain the same. Jets will feel that Glenn will change the culture and hopefully they are right, but I for one believe Glenn will not be the answer for gang green.
  4. Dallas Cowboys...Kellen Moore (Eagles) IMO, I think Jerry always liked Moore and will hire the former assistant, who had a good rapport with Dak Prescott.
  5. New Orleans Saints...Mike McCarthy (Cowboys) the Saints lose out on Glenn, but pivot to McCarthy, who had been in New Orleans as an OC and the Saints feel that Derek Carr will embrace this hire.
  6. Jacksonville Jaguars...Liam Coen (Buccaneers) Khan hopes that Coen can work with Travor Lawrence to restore his confidence bring excitement back to Jacksonville.

I thought Brady suspiciously kept Ben Johnson’s name out of his mouth during the telecast

I just wonder how he'll do with that dogshit organization.
I don't think I see the Chicago Bears as a "dog-shit organization".

As far as I know, Ownership spends $ and lets football people make the football decisions.

The Front Office under Ryan Poles has made mostly good personnel decisions.

The roster has some pretty good (mostly young) talent, they are in good cap shape and have three picks in the top-41 in April.

Maybe, but at some point you are who your record says you are, and they've been bad for a looooong time. Maybe they'll get better, but they've got to prove it.
